Throughout her memoir, Norberg provides encouragement not only to those who have walked with God for decades, but also to those who are just beginning their journeys.



Songs in the Night chronicles a Christian’s walk of faith as she learned that nothing surprises Him, even when it goes against His plan and purposes.

Songs in the Night, Vol 1, is a fabulously detailed chronicle of the beginnings of the church in television during the “Jesus Movement”. The photos and descriptions bring to life the events and detailed activities of those of us in that movement. A walk down memory lane.
Vol 2 is equally important...the journey of a woman of God. The triumphs and tragedies of a life in service; real life with real joys and sorrows. A reminder that God is in control and we need to leave room for the miracles.

As one of Beverly’s older sisters, I have come to know God doesn’t make mistakes. He has an awesome plan for everyone’s life. That plan is the most awesome rollercoaster ride imaginable. Personally, I have a great love for rollercoasters. The anticipation of the thrill as the car climbs to high heights. Suddenly, the rollercoaster will speed up around tight turns. After that it rolls quickly down causing my stomach to churn and my hands to grip tightly. All too soon, for me, the car slowly rolls to a stop. It makes me want to go again. But, some people don’t like the experience and won’t ride it again.
Life is like a rollercoaster. We experience ups and downs, unexpected turns, and sometimes darkness so we can’t see what is coming up ahead. In those times we need to grip even tighter to God. Remember, we are never alone. God is with us and He will give us the experience of our lifetime, as long as we trust and believe as we hold on to Him.
As you read Beverly’s testimony of her life, may it encourage you to know God is a God of possibilities. He will never leave you or forsake you. He is not done with you yet. In the meantime, He is preparing a mansion for you.
Beverly’s book is a testimony of all the ups and downs, sharp turns and dark places she has gone through, as He came to her rescue. My prayer is that you will enjoy your ride with God.

Songs in the Night:
I was Beverly Norberg’s pastor, while she attended Eagle’s Nest from 1984 to 1997. During this time, she served on various ministry teams, including “The Daughters of Destiny”, the MITS (Ministers in Training), and the SWAT (Spiritual Warfare and Training) Teams. She also participated in the Women’s Ministry, the Prison Ministry, and the Worship Team. She volunteered as the music ministry secretary to assist the music director in preparing for each service. She graduated from the Eagle’s Nest Training Institute, Vision University, with an AA in biblical studies in 1996.
Before coming to Eagle’s Nest, Beverly was involved in several well-known ministries and learned valuable lessons from each of them. In her book, “Songs in the Night” she shares her personal experiences of trusting God through the challenges she faced. God’s Word is always true and we can be confident that He will complete what He begins in each of our lives. May her story inspire you to hold on to His promises, even in the dark hours!

Countless individuals have influenced my life, and I thank God for each of them. They have all played a part in leading me in my walk with God. Some have left this world too soon, in my opinion, and others are still here for me to glean from their teaching and advice. I dedicate this book to my parents, my grandparents, my siblings, their children, and all of the pastors, ministry leaders, and coworkers I have had the opportunity to learn from and serve with in ministry. They have each brought their unique perspective of God’s Word and have helped to mold my life as a child of God. They all have unique gifts as part of the body of Christ, and we each see in part and prophecy in part as we grow in our relationship with our heavenly Father.
In the following pages, I will introduce each person along my path who contributed to my story. I am thankful that I met many of them during their simple beginnings in ministry. I was able to see them grow in their faith and be mightily used by God, and also during their times of struggle as they went through their wilderness journeys. Jesus has been with me along every step of the way. His Word has been a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, even in the dark hours.
