Candice Renee Accola(born May 13, 1987) is an American actress, singer and songwriter, best known for her starring role as Caroline Forbes on The CW series,The Vampire Diaries.

Early life Accola was born in Houston, Texas but she grew up in Edgewood, Florida and attended Lake Highland Preparatory [2] [3] School. Her father, Kevin, is a cardiothoracic surgeon and her mother, Carolyn, was formerly an environmental engineer before becoming a homemaker. Both her parents are active members of the local Republican political [4][5] [2][6] party. She has one younger brother.

Music career In December 2006 Accola released her debut album,It's Always the Innocent Ones, independently in the United States. Accola co-wrote thirteen of the fourteen tracks on the record. The album failed to make an impact. In 2008 the album was re-released in Japan and achieved greater success. Accola toured as a backing singer for Miley Cyrus'sBest of Both Worlds Tour. Accola appeared as herself in the 2008 3D concert filmHannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert. The2012 Teen Choice Awards, hosted by Demi Lovato and Kevin McHale, were held on July 22, 2012 and broadcast on Fox. The awards celebrated the year's achievements in music, film, television, sports, fashion, comedy [1] and the Internet, and were voted on by teen viewers aged 13 through 19. Over 134 million votes were cast. Taylor Swift had the most individual wins with five, including Choice Female Artist and Female Country Artist.
