Chloë Grace Moretz( /məˈrɛts/; born February 10, 1997) is an American actress, known for her role as Hit-Girl [2] in the 2010 superhero filmKick-Ass. She also appeared inThe Amityville Horror,(500) Days of Summer,Diary of a Wimpy Kid,Hugo, and portrayed Abby, the child vampire, inLet Me In. She also plays the voice of "Young [3] Penny" inBolt.
Personal life Moretz was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Her mother, Terri (née Duke), is a nurse, and her father, McCoy Lee Moretz, is [4] [5] a plastic surgeon. Moretz has four older brothers; Brandon, Trevor, Colin, and Ethan. She has described her [6] family as "very Christian". One of her brothers, Trevor Duke Moretz, is her acting coach and accompanies her on [7] trips and press dates when her parents are unable to attend. [8] A young Chloe heard her brother reciting lines for his acting school, getting her interested in acting. Moretz moved from Georgia to New York in 2001, with her mother and her older brother, Trevor, because he was accepted into a [9] professional performing arts school; this initially got her interested in acting. Her Hollywood career began when she and the rest of her family moved to Los Angeles in 2003.

Heart of the Beholderis a 2005 drama film that was written and directed by Ken Tipton. It is based on Tipton's own experience as the owner of a chain of videocassette rental stores in the 1980s. Tipton and his family had opened the first videocassette rental stores in St. Louis in 1980. Their business was largely destroyed by a campaign of the National Federation for Decency, who objected to the chain's carrying the filmThe Last Temptation of Christfor rental. [1] The film won "Best Feature Film" awards at several film festivals. Critic Ryan Cracknell summarized the film, "There's no shortage of material for writer-director Ken Tipton to work with here. That alone makesHeart of the Beholdera film of interest. It is in many ways a politically charged film as it touches on issues of freedom of speech, religious beliefs and all out fanaticism. Still, I didn't think it was charged with enough balance and I think a large part [2] had to do with the film's inconsistent pacing."
