Liam McIntyre(born 8 February 1982) is an Australian actor most known for his work in several short films and guest starring roles in Australian TV series. He plays the lead role in the Starz television seriesSpartacus: [1] VengeanceandSpartacus: War of the Damned.

Career Although McIntyre has started his career in mostly short films, the actor had more promising roles guest starring in Australia's popular television series'RushandNeighbours. McIntyre made his US television debut guest starring in an episode of the award nominated HBO mini-seriesThe Pacific. McIntyre was chosen as the replacement for Andy Whitfield in the titular role for the Starz television series [2][3] Spartacus. Whitfield withdrew from the role prior to his death, when his cancer recurred while filming. [4] Production on the second season ofSpartacusresumed in the fall of 2011 and premiered on 27 January 2012.
