Early life [1][2] Buring was born 22 September 1979, in Sweden, as Anna Margaretha My Buring Rantap , but grew up in the Middle East. When she turned 16, she moved to England. She attended high school at the American British Academy in Muscat, Oman, with her childhood friend Stegath Dorr, who is a character actor and a prolific horror filmmaker. Buring graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 2004. She is also the [3] associate director of the MahWaff Theatre Company.
Career
Television In 2006, Buring guest-starred in "The Impossible Planet", the first episode of a two-episodeDoctor Whostory. Her character, Scooti, perished in the vacuum of space; the scenes of her body floating towards a black hole were filmed [4] in an underwater tank in Pinewood Studios, to create the effect of weightlessness. Also in 2006, Buring played Olivia in a production of Shakespeare'sTwelfth Nightby Exeter's Northcott Theatre Company, alongside Sara Weymouth and David Gwillim, and appeared in a new play,Seducedby Michael Kingsbury at London's Finborough Theatre. In 2008, Buring starred as Alice in the independent filmCredo, also known as The Devil's Curse. Buring also starred as Debbie inMuch Ado About Nothing(BBC One),Midsomer Murders(ITV),Casualty(BBC One) andMurder Prevention(Channel 5). For MahWaff Theatre Company, she starred inGuardians,Monologue For An EnsembleandAn Inspector Calls. Buring played the role of CND peace activist and student Adrianna Doyle in series three, episode two ofInspector George Gently, which was screened in the UK on BBC One on October 2010. In 2012, Buring had a large supporting role in BBC drama serialBlackout. In 2012, Buring joined the cast of television seriesDownton Abbey, she played the role as maidEdna Braithwaite [5] appeared in the 2012 Christmas special episode. In December of 2012, MyAnna played protagonist Karen Clarke,a woman who is haunted by her past which eventually catches up with her in a two part drama called The Poison Tree which aired on ITV1.

Release [1] The film premiered as part of the East End Film Festival at the Genesis Cinema Whitechapel on April 24, 2009. The following Monday it was also released on DVD and Blu-ray, reaching number 6 in the UK DVD charts, as well [2] going on to have a limited run in cinemas.
Music The score for this film was composed by Mark Maclaine and Julia Johnson from London based Post Trip-Hop band Second Person and includes the track "Paper Umbrella". Other tracks were provided by Spencer Hickson.
