In 1901, Iowa was given the distinctions of being the highest educated state in the US! How? By young women, having two years or less college education, teaching on one room country schools. See/meet my first black people, life/death, law enforcement, age 15 instant adult supporting mother and two sisters, learning from a farmer with only 8th grade education the basic of investing. Three years attending a one room country school a cherished life long memory still in contact with three country school schoolmates. Now at age 86, reflecting on my life, I gave myself a self-educated PHD in "LIFE COME LOTT A"!
Story of my life from first memory to age 19. Becoming aware of life, you start doing as much as you could as the other members of the family were doing. You became responsible for greater parts of the family life.
