To know the hand that rocked the cradle of our ancestors, handled the pen that wrote the signature some two hundred years ago! Some of the names in Dutch had to be interpreted, while others were clear and plain in English. If our forefathers could but arise from their long slumbering places of abode, and know the great multitude that have lived since their time, they would be amazed.
