About the Author
Forward
Tisha Hallet is as beautiful on the inside, as she is on the outside. She and I have been friends since the 1980’s. I have respected her professionalism and valued our friendship through these years.

Tisha is a well-trained and excellent hypnotherapist, who has helped countless people for more than three decades. We have enjoyed discussing cases and have referred people to each other.

Her marriage can truly be called, “A marriage made in heaven.” She and Norman have had an ideal marriage for thirty-two years. Therefore, she is in a perfect position to write about how to decide if a person is the right one and how to avoid those who are not.

I found her book to be concise, practical and loaded with excellent advice and techniques to help a woman to decide, “Is He Right for Me?” It is a very readable book and covers many ways for someone to overcome stumbling blocks, improve her self-concept, replace negative programming with positive ones and determine her requirements for the characteristics of her future partner.

Tisha Hallett’s knowledge of the power of the subconscious mind makes this book stand apart from other self-help books with the aim of attracting a loving and compatible mate. She offers ways for the reader to access her inner mind and use it to work for her, instead of having it foil her goals.

Although the techniques are easy, they are powerful and productive.

“Is He Right for You?” is a book for any woman wanting to make that correct decision. It has been said that the choice of a spouse (or relationship) can bring the greatest happiness or the greatest unhappiness. That saying does not include all the many relationships, which do not fall into one of those categories, but are simply unrewarding. Why not avail yourself of ways to ensure that the choice will bring the ‘greatest happiness’?

Chapter One:
Introduction
Finding true love is magic, right? The romantic comedy, a staple of the American movie industry, has conditioned us to believe that, while we may encounter some bumps in our journey, in the end we will magically end up with our soul mate.

We know that Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan will get together; the only question is how they will do it in the span of two hours while we voyeuristically yearn for that kind of easy, breezy falling in love. Yes, Tom and Meg have their ups and downs, but as we fall in love with these quirky and desirable characters, we project our desires onto them and pine away, thinking that yes, maybe one day we’ll meet the love of our lives by inadvertently spilling coffee on them. Better yet, we’ll be dressed perfectly, there will be a fabulous soundtrack playing in the background, and our witty and wise (but not as attractive) best friends will be there throughout the journey as our comic foils.

We all want someone to love and be devoted to us, and equally, we want to be comfortable loving and being devoted to one single person. But crafty cinematic storytelling isn’t indicative of the real-life journey. Yes, we may fall in love with strangers, hoping that they will fall hopelessly in love with us, so we can finally fulfill that sweet desire to be loved by someone we love completely in return. We are trying to make our lives into movies.

But life isn’t like the movies.

The truth is that 50 percent of marriages end in divorce, and only one out of five “serious” relationships ends in marriage. What’s even worse is that 75 percent of married women say they wish they would have chosen differently.
