Congratulations to Chris and Kevin. A tremendous amount of

research has gone into the publication. I had to do a bit of

research myself for the questions on Page 20!

I’m not saying if I was 100% correct! But I’ve got to own up

- it was a little embarrassing! Interesting to see Adam Blacklaw’s name on the League goalscorers list. That did stump me! But what could be better for any passionate Clarets fan, returning from victory from far flung places such as Plymouth

or Ipswich, than improving their knowledge of their Football

Club, the history, the tradition, the players and the managers.

I would first of all like to thank Martin Dobson for writing the foreword to this book. I am very grateful for his help on this project. I would also like to thank Paul Stanworth and Darren Bentley at Burnley FC for their help and advice during the books compilation. I would like to give a special mention to Burnley’s historian Ray Simpson, who has helped making sure every fact and figure is 100% accurate. Ray compiled an excellent book called The Clarets Chronicles that no fan should be without (published in 2007 by Burnley FC). I hope you enjoy this book. Hopefully it should bring back some wonderful memories! It was a delight working with Kevin Snelgrove again, who is

very well organised. We have written many books together and between us I hope we have given you a selection of easy, medium and hard questions. In closing, I would like to thank all my friends and family for encouraging me to complete this book.
