Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Though his family was not among the 60 families that settled at Rowley in 1639, it is on record that, previous to January 1644-45, he had assigned to him a house-lot of 15 acres adjoining the southerly side of William Acey's land (on Holmes Street) east end on the street; it was opposite Daniel J. Hale's house, and is now owned by Thomas P.
