Scotland is largely responsible for bringing the game to its present state Of perfection, and nowhere to-day are the greens SO perfect and the game played SO scientifically as there. The rules adopted for playing the game in England, Wales, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, Canada are all based on those of the Scottish Bowling Associa tion.
