“It is both good law and good sense that a man or woman who is attacked may defend themselves.
It is both good law and good sense that he or she may only do, what is reasonably necessary.”

Introduction
This work is a fairly dry, if interesting attempt to outline the UK Law on self defence. I could have included many anecdotes and real life situations to add some sensationalism but have instead tried to stick to the facts and letter of the Law as it stands and how the Police are instructed to interpret that Law.
You will obviously draw your own conclusions on this.
It will hopefully be of use to the many Martial Artists and Security personnel of this country. However, every citizen should have an idea of what is permissible regarding self defence and the various implications of their actions.
