Although the introduction to each of these Nordic countries was very brief, this loving husband and wife had magnificent sightseeing opportunities. All of the Nordic cities visited were aptly equipped with very knowledgeable tour guides who were brilliant in acquainting us with the social, political, cultural, and religious aspects of their city.
Hence, this husband and wife were able to see the splendor and beauty of each of those fascinating cities. We walked through various sections of the inner cities and saw gorgeous parks and flower gardens. We saw beautiful and excited children enjoying their day at play. We also saw beautiful homes and neighborhoods. We saw the beauty of a peaceful people.
Unquestionably, touring the capital cities of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland was a marvelous delight to us. After these countries had been described to us as a romantic lands of beautiful hills and mountains and gorgeous landscape, we discovered that the delights of Scandinavia were even more exciting. It was indeed a land of romance!
Certainly, asking pertinent questions about the customs and mystique of each country, we feel much more informed about those Nordic countries and their people. After twelve exciting days of Scandinavian touring, we feel much more enlightened on the customs of these beautiful Nordic people.
Last of all, our joyous visit to these Scandinavian countries was a joyful learning experience for both of us. We now understand more fully what is meant when one says that the Scandinavian people lived under the concept of the Nordic welfare model. Above all, we had a delightful, fun filled Nordic adventure. To God be the glory!

The Nordic Adventure: An Enlightening Introduction to Scandinavia is especially dedicated to both of our dear parents; the late Pastor John Oliver and Annie Ree Wright of Quincy Florida, and the late William Alexander and Ida Mae Clarke of Lamb’s River in Jamaica.
These loving parents struggled to inform and educate their children to go beyond the current circumstance in which they were born. They indeed instructed their children to experience the full enjoyment of life. For the fulfillment of life has more to be enjoyed than what they were experiencing.
In truth, our dear parents diligently stressed to their children that they should thrive to grow in the knowledge around them, and also that knowledge of the world. They also stressed that they should grow in the full knowledge of life and in the perfect will of God.
Equally, this traveler’s memoir is also dedicated to our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and godchildren. And it is especially dedicated to our sons; Elondo Jerome (Lanny), Jarvis Jerelle (Jerry), Joshua Benito (Bino), and Roger Omar Daley.
Certainly, it is our hope that our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and godchildren would go much further in exploring this immense and expansive world our God has made. We are encouraging them to thrive for a higher height and deeper depth in the fulfillment of their God-given abilities. And above all, to God be the Glory!

Indeed, we are very honored to acknowledge the significant influences of both of our dear parents, the late Pastor John Oliver and Annie Ree Wright, and the late William Alexander and Ida Mae Clarke. These dear parents lovingly encouraged each of us to expand, explore, and grow in the knowledge and appreciation of this huge and massive world, and our God.
It is also a joyous privilege to us to acknowledge all of the sincere and dedicated travelers who have traveled with us on other traveling ventures. Our delightful and exciting experiences of traveling with them indeed inspired us to continue our travel to see more of this beautiful world our God has made.
Above all, as author of this traveler’s memoir, it is indeed my pleasure to acknowledge the tremendous support of my beautiful wife Celeta, my darling traveling companion. We challenged ourselves to go beyond our current traveling experiences to explore the beauty and romance of those Nordic countries of Northern Europe.
Certainly, through the grace of God, we were blessed to visit four beautiful Scandinavian countries in Northern Europe. And together, we experienced incredible joy and satisfaction. We also gathered invaluable insight and knowledge of those Nordic countries, whereby we were able to gather some information to build this traveler’s memoir.
Appreciatively, after gathering and organizing the information for this traveler’s memoir, I also want to acknowledge that my dear wife Celeta worked joyously with me in proofreading and providing valuable insight and advice when needed. Her loving and delightful support was greatly welcomed.
Foreword
Indeed, the time has finally arrived! After two years of waiting, the COVID pandemic restrictions had been lifted, and it was now time for my darling husband and I to explore the Scandinavian countries. It was always my dream to visit Norway, but after hearing me talk about traveling to Norway many times, my loving husband made reservation for a full Scandinavian tour.
This Scandinavian trip was one of the most exciting trips I have travelled. Definitely, this Nordic Adventure has truly broadened my horizon on the countries of Northern Europe. It was very delightful to see that each country has its own beauty.
From the windows of the different forms of transportation, I was able to see the mountains, valleys, and fjords and all the beautiful sceneries. And I was in total admiration. Each day, my dear husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the panoramic walking tour in each country. The tour guide in each country, assigned by Firebird Tours, carefully pointed out to us the beauty of their country.
Certainly, after our panoramic walking tour ended each day, we further explore each city on our own. Cheerfully, we either got on the Hop On and Off tour bus and traveled around the city, or on the scenic tour boat and traveled on the man-made canals around the city.
Happily, each day ended in excitement. This Scandinavian trip I can say that I have traveled on all forms of transportation for this adventure; i.e., by land, sea, and air. Surely, this Nordic adventure was a memorable trip, one that will not soon be forgotten. However, when my husband and I returned home, we were drained mentally and physically.
Joyfully, I give honor to God for watching over us and granting my husband and I traveling mercies. I also thank my darling husband for gifting me with such a beautiful travel. He serenaded me with all the joy, love, and affection a wife could ask for. He made this trip very delightful throughout all of our travel. He was a gem as a traveling partner.

This memoir captured some of the enthralling, and sometime challenging, experiences of both Author and Celeta, husband and wife, who spent twelve exciting and informative days touring Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, four magnificent Nordic countries in Northern Europe.
Definitely, this intriguing traveler’s memoir revealed some of the exciting and heartwarming experiences this loving couple had as they traveled from their home state of New York and toured Copenhagen, Oslo, Flam, Bergen, Stockholm, and Helsinki, six gorgeous Scandinavian cities from those four Nordic countries.
Thankfully, our exciting, private Scandinavian travel was certainly well-planned. Indeed, our delightful Nordic adventure to those four enchanting countries of Northern Europe was fittingly prepared by Firebird Tours, an award-winning travel company.
In fact, Firebird Tours prepared an excellent traveling schedule so that this loving couple would have a brief, yet thrilling introduction to all of the best that these six gorgeous cities could offer from these four different Nordic countries of Northern Europe.
Additionally, Firebird Tours had arranged fantastic modes of transportation for our Nordic travel and adventure. Actually, this husband and wife traveled from place to place during our different Scandinavian adventure either by plane, by train, by cruise ship ferries, or by a luxury speedboat type vessel.
Moreover, Firebird Tours had arranged superb traveling accommodations for this loving couple in each of these Scandinavian countries. There was no waiting at the airport or at the port for a taxicab. There were private tour drivers at every point; drivers who took us from the airport or from the port to the hotel, drivers who took us from the hotel to airport for our flight or to the port for our ferry to our next country.
Although the introduction to each of these Nordic countries was very brief, Firebird Tours had provided this loving husband and wife with magnificent sightseeing opportunities.
