Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. This condition of our treasury is not altogether new; and it has more than once of late been submitted to the people's representatives in the Congress, who alone can apply a rem edy. And yet the Situation still continues, with aggravated incidents, more than ever presaging financial convulsion and widespread disaster.
