Insights from Chapter 1
#1
The Law of Esprit is the first law of wellness. It states that what we wish and expect governs the response we get. We want as much satisfaction, creativity, and wisdom as possible, and this brings us joy.
#2
Esprit is the first law of Wellness. It is the recognition that joy in life, not length of life, is the marker by which all wellness is measured. It is found in relationships where our focus is on developing a heart that is aglow with love for all we meet.
#3
The Law of Personal Accountability states that it is we, the individuals, who are responsible, first and foremost, for our own wellness. We are the ones who are affected by our decisions, and we are the ones who can change them to better our lives.
#4
The Law of Personal Accountability states that our behaviors and responses contribute to our health or illness. If we ignore giving mindful attention to our behaviors and responses, we will definitely deteriorate physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
#5
The Law of Personal Accountability is the idea that our behaviors and responses, no matter what the circumstance, are under our control. We have the ability to develop an awareness of our own behavior and responses, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
