Before You Do Anything, Pt 2
 
Before you read one more book (including this one), or attend one more boot camp, or sit in on one more webinar, or buy one more course or program, or talk to any motivated sellers, analyze any deals, make any offers or put any properties under contract to buy… you need to do a few things.
 
This is the most important part of this book. If, while reading this, you suddenly discover a strong desire to use the pages of this book to line your pet’s cage, read this section first. I implore you. Without the right mentality, you are simply spinning your wheels. OK, ready? Here we go.
 
Lesson # 1: STOP GIVING A RAT’S ASS WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF YOU!!!
 
Listen, nice people are poor. And frankly, they make me want to puke. My favorite saying is, “I don’t give a rat’s ass!” And to be perfectly honest, I really don’t. I could care less what other people think of me. I don’t care if someone thinks I am a great guy… or a total jack ass. This is how successful people think. Successful individuals are often polarizing. You either love us or hate us. The best part? We could care less one way or the other. I admire that in others, and constantly strive for that in my own life. If your goal in life is to be a nice, well-liked individual, enjoy your lower, to middle-class, lifestyle and all the regret that comes along with never realizing your dreams.
 
I am drawn to polarizing figures. Why? Because this type of person - you guessed it - doesn’t give a rat’s ass! They are opinionated and in-your-face. They give no excuses, make no apologies and have no regrets. You know what else? They are respected. Successful people aren’t always liked. In fact, it can often be the opposite. They are always respected, though. And that is what is most important in business… and in life.
 
My advice to you is to become one yourself. You’ll be much better off, and more successful. Don’t get me wrong, I am not giving you the green light to be a total jerk. Be a person of conviction and integrity. Believe in yourself and that what you are doing is right. And when the naysayers start yapping (and they will), don’t hesitate one bit in telling them to go to hell. It feels great. Trust me. Try it sometime. Start with your boss…
 
Lesson # 2: YOUR LEVEL OF EXPECTATION EQUALS YOUR INCOME!!!
 
If you lack confidence and/or self-esteem, or have any negative feelings about being rich or rich people, don’t freak out. I was the exact same way when I started. You know what, though? I also really sucked at flipping houses. And before that, I sucked at my sales job and in my personal relationships. It wasn’t
