Solaris Network Administrator
The official title of this certification exam is the Sun Certified Network Administrator for the Solaris 10 Operating System. It is intended for candidates who have three or more years of experience administering
Sun systems in a networking environment. To take the exam, a candidate must have a Solaris OS System Administrator Certification in any version of the Solaris Operating System. The primary focus
areas of the exam are:  Configuring the Network Interface Layer  Configuring the Network  Configuring and Managing Network Applications  Configuring Solaris IP Filter

Exam Specifics
Solaris Network Administration Exams are proctored by Prometric.
Scheduling and location of test sites can be obtained at
www.prometric.com. Tests are conducted at a testing center. Two
valid forms of ID are required when arriving at the center. In addition, many Oracle University locations offer exams in addition to training. Exams are delivered in a secure environment, proctored, and timed.

OSI stands for Open System Interconnection. The OSI Reference Model focuses on network communications. The model consists of seven layers: uppers layers define functionality while the lower three

compression. It supports different protocols for text, data, sound,

management of multiple bidirectional messages. The session layer
allows the presentation layer the perception of a seamless stream of
