DEDICATIONS
T HIS GRATITUDE JOURNAL is dedicated to The Most High God. Thank You for showing me that I have a direct connection to You and with You. You see the God (Goddess) in me, and I embrace it fully. I dedicate this gratitude journal to my oldest son Carl and his wife who experienced a great loss while dealing with my cancer diagnosis. Your strength has inspired me to live life unapologetically.
PREFACE
Dear Sister/ Bro ther,
This journal is a space for you to practice gratitude as you go through your cancer treatment journey. I never knew how imperative gratitude is until I had to look cancer in the face and dig deep inside of myself to find the courage to lean into my faith and find the strength to find a way to be grateful for all th ings!
Why gratitude? Gratitude invokes more positive emotions within your body and mind. It helps us see the good in every situation. Gratitude helps us pause and reflect on things that we often overlook. The things we often think of as “the little things” such as breath, food, a home, electricity, a cellphone, and clean water. Gratitude can be healing by lowering stress levels, fighting depression, and helping to develop more positive, loving relationships which brings more joy to one’s life.
This gratitude journal will support you with building a habit of gratitude that will help you get through this difficult journey you are embarking upon or have already completed as this journal can be used at any point of your cancer journey. Regardless of the type of cancer you are battling this is a battle we fight together side by side.
In love and grati tude,
Your Sister Fel icia
SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
A SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO my youngest son Amar who had to watch his mother almost faint, walk around pale and weak, sleep all day, and live life the weakest I ever have. I thank you for getting to school on time, keeping your grades up and going to the store no matter how embarrassing and buying my diapers (Yes, y’all! My diapers). I love you so much! I also give a special acknowledgement to Queen Afua’s Sacred Woman Rites of Passage that I was drawn to after my cancer diagnosis and battle which allowed me to learn about the importance of Womb Wellness and so much more!
I am now a Cervivor, an Ambassador for Womb Wellness, a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and a Certified Integrative Health Coach. Ase and Amen!
I would like to also acknowledge that this is An Interactive Journal for those going through their cancer journey, cancer survivors and those closest to them. Cancer does not only affect the person being treated but it also affects all of those within their close community. Many people loose faith as they watch their loved one battle with this dis-ease. This gratitude journal is a reminder that even in your darkest day, your darkest night or your darkest hour gratefulness can shine some light into your situation, even if just a little. I pray this journal helps you recognize that light. Please share this journal with friends and family so they too can practice gratitude during this difficult time.
In Honor of The Mothers of Gynecology

INTRODUCTION
M AY 22, 2018, was my first day of Chemo-therapy. I can remember being scared as I waited for my friend to pick me up. I had such a great tribe of family and sister friends preparing to take this journey with me as support. You never know how many people care for you or how alone you are until a major life crises hits.
