I dedicate this book to all the young girls out there who feel unseen and unheard. You may feel alone at times, but know that you are never truly alone. Your ancestors live on in your DNA, guiding and supporting you through all of life’s journeys. I see you; I hear you, and I love you. This book is for you.

Satori (悟り) is a Japanese Buddhist term for awakening, “ comprehension; understanding ”. It is derived from the Japanese verb satoru. In the Zen Buddhist tradition, satori refers to a deep experience of kenshō, “seeing into one’s true nature”.
Introduction
Welcome to this empowering book for young black girls! My goal is to awaken your inner Satori and inspire you to recognize your incredible potential. Within these pages, you will discover blank spaces to fill with positive self-talk and manifestations, and my intention is to plant a seed of self-love that will grow into a bountiful garden of blessings.
Each chapter of this book focuses on a different aspect of personal growth, including believing in yourself, gratitude, self-care, mindset, courage, creativity, kindness, resilience, positivity, and self-love. Through positive self-talk statements and manifestation quotes, I will guide you towards a life filled with purpose, joy, and abundance.
In addition to providing you with tools for personal growth, I will also share my personal experiences of growing up as a Black girl in Alton, Illinois. My hope is that you will find my stories relatable and inspiring, and that they will encourage you to never let anyone steal your power, never lower your crown, and always be true to yourself. We all have magic inside of us, and that magic will grow when we are consistent with ourselves and our aspirations. So never settle and always strive to be the best version of yourself.
Remember, you are the future, and you possess unique qualities that will help you achieve greatness. Thank you for choosing to embrace your inner light, and know that you are capable of manifesting the life you desire, even when facing life’s challenges.
