Secrets of Success
By - Tarun Engineer
Foreword
Tarun Engineer has written this book for those people who want to more ahead at a fast pace. I can say this because the job of a manager is going the best output by using the available results in a best possible manner and keeping a strengthening weak links.
Something similar has been mentioned in this book so that you may be able to use your capacity and talent to the maximum possible extents. Bill Gates and Dhirubhai Ambani, the two most successful entrepreneurs of the world, became successful managers only after knowing this secret.
But you must know that the most important things are thought and behaviour, if one wants to become a successful manager. Education is not at all used here, only constructive thinking is used. Then, amazing results start pouring in.
Hence, I can say with elan that this book is fully capable of making you a successful manager. That is because Tarun Engineer is one of those successful authors of the world who is invited as leadership speaker, trainer business thinker and consultant. Government departments and big firms of the corporate sector invite him to deliver such lectures or impact training to their staff. He is the first writer of India who was awarded the title “Business Guru” in ‘2008 by the print media of India.
Nowadays, Tarun Engineer runs his business enterprise. Besides, he works as a motivational trainer for the government and private firms of the country. He teaches the employees of these firms how to expand their business operations and markets. He also imparts leadership skills to these trainers. The list of his clients includes the Tata Group, IGI Airport, Bharat Electronics Ltd., Maruti Udyog Ltd., Keltron, Siemens, Lafarge India, Honda SIEL, and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.
But it is a fact that management is needed everywhere. If you are a college student, you are required to manage your studies. If you are employed, you would have to do (manage) your tasks well. If you are into a business, you would have to manage your money. It you stay at home, even then you would be required to manage your family. That means management is needed in all fields.
Hence, while reading this book, keep your brain open, for you need only 60 minutes to read “Secrets of Success.”
You would also need only 60 minutes to read this book.

Preface
My first motivational book, “बड़ा सोचो! बड़ा बनो!” was published some time ago. After that some firms requested me to write a book that may prove to be a guide for the youth of today and thus, they may be able to become successful managers.
The generation of today is full of capabilities. It is also tactful in its dealings. Then, why the young people of today are not able to become successful managers?
Then, I had said to them that I would ponder over this issue. Then, three years passed.
But now, my two books — “क्या आप अमीर बनना चाहते है?” and “बुलंद इरादों से सपने सच करे” were also published. Then, I learn that the people of the young generation are not able to become good managers because they back motivation.
All successful people of the world have been motivated quickly. That is why they are able to recognize success hidden in thoughts. Thus, I made these basic ideas as the chief subject of my book and wrote another book:
“Secrets of Success”
But before buying it, please ensure that why do you want to read this book. Do you want to polish your career? Or, do you want to expand your business? Do you want to improve your future? Or, do you want to set up an industrial unit?
When you would have decided, these thoughts would start doing big miracles. First of all, the level of thinking would change. Then, your attention would be fully focused on success. That is because the target of this book is to tell you about such principles as may help you become a successful manager.
You Too Can Do Miracle
Thoughts have energy. Thoughts have power. Hence, the thoughts appended in this book would motivate you — to do something new, not to accept defeat (in any condition) and to solve the problems you face. These thoughts would also tell you to believe in your own self, increase your self- confidence and lead from the front. They would persuade you to reach the peak of success. Then, you would be able to do miracles.
My Thanks are Due to My Colleagues
When I write a book, I need a complete team. That’s because writing a book is like running a factory. So, I shall thank AtuI Sharma, Kuldeep Kumar Tiwari, Vikas Sharma, Naveen Pandya and Bhupendra Singh first of all. This book has been completed only because of their active cooperation.
Now, I would like to thank the managers of all corporate-sector and government companies. They invite me as a consultant, leadership orator and trainer in their organizations from time to time.
Thanking My Park Friends
In search of the best concepts, I keep on meeting people in the park. In am grateful to my friends of park who are equal contributors of ideas to my book. They are — Chaudhary Dalchand (Former Director, Post Office savings), Mukesh Jain (Hotel Owner), B.K. Sharma (Former Assistant Director of Education, Government of NCT, Delhi), Naresh Chandra Jain (Industrialist), Ramesh Kumar Gupta (Businessman), Dharam Prakash Garg (Paper Trader), Lal Chandra Jain (Utensil Trader), Rajesh Kumar Gupta (CA) and Suresh Kumar Jain (Industrialist). They always motivate me to write something unique. Hence, I am grateful to all of them.
They Filled up My Life with Happiness
My agents, who are spread around the world, also deserve all Kudos. They always slog to help me realize my dreams. They cooperate with me from time to time.
Grateful to the Print Media
I thank the print media, for it has spread my messages and informed readers about my life story. They are —Star Dust, Aha! Zindagi, Star Week and Lakshya, I also want to thank the reporters of Punjab Kesari, Navbharat Times and the Hindustan Times. I want to express my heart felt feelings and respect for these journalists because they have introduced me at a global level and gave me the award of “Business Guru.”
Credit for Writing this Book
I want to give the total credit for writing this book to my wife-Preeti Rastogi. She tries to make my writing excellent and competitive through her love that is sans any selfishness, creativity and new thoughts.

You Can Do Management of Your Each Work
Nothing is useless in life because you can convert soil into gold through your deeds. There is only the need for successful management. But one, does not know how to manage, converts even gold into soil.
That is why the tunes you call noise, are converted into mellifluous music by the musician. Because he knows how to manage tunes.
Similarly, colours spread here and there can appear to be mud to you, but a painter uses the same colours to make a fantastic painting. That means management is —what to use and how.
This book is for all those people who want to manage their business. This book is for all those who want to manage their family. This book is for all those who want to manage their industry. This book is for all those who want to manage their future. Because this book will polish the diamonds hidden inside you and make you a successful manager. Then your greed will be converted to philanthropy. Anger will be converted into kindness. Enemy will be converted into friend and lust will be converted into riches.
So, read every chapter of this book carefully. Because the writer of superhit movies like “Lagey Raho Munna Bhai” and “Three Idiots” Abhijat Joshi, believes that secrets of success are hidden in positive thoughts.
Those who are small to look at, do big miracles. In this book too, some such secrets have been given which will make you a successful manager.
Why Is It Necessary to Read This Book?
Have you ever thought why successful people are more successful? That is because they know the secrets of success. Other people fail. So, you would also have to learn the secrets of success. Even big ministers and corporate tycoons are required to learn these secrets.
I had read a book a few years ago. Its title was —”Why Bad Things Happen to Good People?” In this book, it was mentioned that bad things happen to good people because they don’t know secrets of success. Those, who know them succeed in every circumstance.
An old story goes like this. A man went to New York City from Patiala. He was looking for work. He was doing a good job in his own city. But the chances of growth were too less in Patiala. Hence, he contacted the manager of a departmental store upon reaching New York City.
The manager said, “There is a vacancy of salesman but how much experience do you have in the field of sales?”
The young man replied, “I was considered to be a good salesman of Patiala.” The manager said, “That would be proved by the trial of one day. Then, can decide whether you are capable of working here or not.”
The young man got a chance. When he was about to pull down the shutter of the shop in the night (after a hectic day), the manager asked the man, “How many customers did you serve today?”
“One!” replied the young man.
The manager was surprised. He said, “Just one. But every salesman have sells goods to 20-30 customers daily.
And you handled just one? What was the worth of this order?”
The young man said, “Eighty thousand Dollars.”
The manager was surprised again, for this was a big amount. He asked, “What have you sold to him?” “First of all, I sold a hook for catching fish to the client. Then, I sold to him the entire kit for catching fish. Then, I asked that client where he would go to ca
