Description

Praise for “To Whom I Care” : Books 1 and 2
Book 2
A previous book by the author dealt with hastily made mistakes, struggles with success, and finding peace and contentment in unlikely places. Here, using his signature poetic style and the wisdom and insights from a long and varied life full of rich experiences, the author cuts through the fake ways that people hide their true feelings and reveals a deep insight into moments that changed his life. The lessons and personal confessions within allow the reader to live vicariously and be guided through turbulence, imparting all of the growth acquired through these difficulties with none of the personal hardship required. ..the author has hand-selected a powerful collection of tales to share with his readers.
There are plenty of lessons to learn and discover within this brief, enjoyable continuation of the author’s previous work.
Michael Radon, US Review of Books
Comprehensive, pure, compelling, written in earnest from a thankful heart. The mark of a truly intellectually written book; easy to read. I think he seeks to inspire positivity and be a catalyst for peace and purpose. Certainly a man with vision. In my opinion, gifted and equipped in verse to deliver a message of hope.
Joyce Overstreet,Mexico Beach, FL
I got the feeling that I was somewhere between Gibran and the book of Proverbs. The bombardment of “messages” reminded me that Solomon’s temple is long gone. His words of wisdom still stand. Just maybe, some of (Allam’s) words will endure.
George Schipper, Lawrenceville, GA
Book 1
I would truly love to see this book as required reading in every high school and middle school in the country. What a novel idea. Actually have America’s children read something that will teach them to become better, stronger and more compassionate human beings…To Whom I Care is pure poetry, with a heartfelt message for everyone.

PREFACE
Snippets of Wisdom about Daily Existence, Personal Success, and the After life
By Nicole Yur caba
The US Review of B ooks
I n Allam’s third book, readers encounter an honest, authentic voice that delivers snippets of wisdom about daily existence, personal success, and the afterlife. While some poems depict direct and deeply personal reflections, others bear a dreamlike tone that transports readers into the complexities of human relationships. Other fragments are deeply philosophical and encourage readers to move through life with perseverance in mind: “The most important thing is that experience needs continuation for its development.”
The book concludes by detailing the author’s professional insights and experiences in the fascinating world of architecture.
This book is unique in voice and structure. These aspects make engaging with the book easy. While the work bears many personal and biographical elements, it reads poetically.
Readers looking for positive enlightenment about persevering through life’s struggles will likely find this book inspiring. Meanwhile, those seeking inspiration for a path forward and through their life’s darkness will undoubtedly find this book to be a guide for self-improvement. Others will gravitate toward the book’s message about continually seeking truth and “to make truth the motive for those who know its meanings.” The ultimate message, nonetheless, surpasses that of any other self-help book: Finding inner strength and inner peace brings individuals the most success and joy.
TRUTH VERSUS HOPE AND WISHES
We Muslims believe that the Holy Quran
is the last of the heavenly books.
The first word in it is “ Read.”
And we did.
For generations, we read and translated great books in various fields.
Yes, we read, then we thought and understood.
And we added a lot to world knowledge in most of the subject areas.
As a result, we became one of the leading sources of positive thinking on the planet.
Today it really hurts that the generations of more recent times
changed the concept of the meaning of “read” to “memorize”
to consider what some selections of what you read as God-given
absolutes.
And the biggest disaster of this is that religious ignorance prevails.
Most of those who sailed in it became intellectually closed.
Rather, they have come to call for living in religious concepts of centuries ago, and whoever disagrees with them
becomes a dissident from religion.
I think then this light was politicized.
That is, the rulers used it to control the peoples,
especially by using some religious texts selectively and wrongly.
And it must be fought!
This matter brought us, the Muslims, to two things:
One, we became a disabled nation.
Yes, it depends entirely on other nations for almost everything.
Second, this brought us to a feeling of inferiority, which led to hostility within our hearts to many peoples from other places.
This hostility then affected the identity of generations who lived without looking at the concept of life
and the meaning of religion.
I am certain that we need to revise that circumstance.
This light is not easy.
For me, past age seventy, even with an MBA and a PhD, I decided to read for meaning of concepts, which were new.
Then the result reached me to write three messages addressed to those whom I care about:
First, my children; then my close friends and colleagues; finally, to all who would read these messages.
The first message (book 1) was gratitude and appreciation to my family.
It has childhood memories,
glimpses of giving and fulfillment.
It has phrases and conclusions that I lived and felt and drew the appreciation of those who commented on them
when published, who got the echo from those whom I care about.
The second message (book 2) tells my story, my suffering and
difficulties and embarrassments in early youth.
But today I look at that undergraduate level stage with all
favoritism.
Maybe the most important thing in it: There are fates from God that I believe in.
And there is luck, I don’t doubt it.
But also, there is determination, perseverance, and non- surrender.
So the message is directed, first of all, thank God, to everyone who stood with me and to everyone who honors me to read it.
Back to this third message, I found out that who cares about me the most.
Truth, no metaphor, is myself!
Selfishness has no place, as I believe
in God’s command,
in the Holy Quran.
“Mind yourselves, look to yourself,” and
“Vision includes sight and insight.”
So I got into difficult and dark corridors
and a lot of contradiction, for example:
“Rejoice in achievements and excellence,”
when I failed to convince myself that this was the real meaning of success, especially since we are not always in this world.
Anyway,
please excuse me, but I hope you are smiling.
As you turn the pages of this letter that came from the heart of a man a little over seventy years old,
I hope that you may be convinced that there is room that is better to see ourselves
and that by moving away from the justifications that we hang the bell on
to make the truth a motive for those who know its meanings, if they believe in themselves.
JUDGE OURSELVES THROUGH OUR BEHAVIOR
I owe a debt of appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Skipper whom I met by chance.
I decided to stay for a long time here in the USA for many reasons, the most important of which is for treatment and because of my desire to learn more and benefit from the time I have.
I joined the Tyson’s Institute in McLean, Virginia, as appreciation of my circumstances by the director of the institute, Dr. Benai.
Dr. Skipper was appointed as a management scientist. In fact, he is an encyclopedia.
And that is, in particular
to make education one-to-one.
Dr. Skipper started to explain the program in general, and it caught my attention that he started with management theories and their starting points.
And he asked me to prepare a paper on those theories
and compare their positives.
He asked me to refer to many references in this field, and I did prepare good papers.
Dr. Skipper treated me with all due respect, and he continued to provide me with beneficial knowledge for several weeks.
While we were in the middle of this scientific knowledge,
the covid-19 virus began to spread.
The entire world was shaken by that, and it was essential to learn remotely.
While we were discussing,
I wrote a story about this virus,
I presented it to him, and
he was very impressed with it in terms of the style and language.
The following week, he brought me one of Kahlil Gibran’s books.
He is an author originally from Lebanon.
I began to ask myself some questions.
Gibran passed away, and none of his legacies remain, except his books.
This inspired me to think about writing, and I translated my family book, of which I care about, from Arabic to English.
Dr. Skipper was impressed with the book and helped me from all sides, in reviewing, printing, publishing, and even marketing
“To Whom I Care.”
A great effort from a great professor.
This, in turn, inspired me to continue the march.
So the second book, of which I care about, was prepared,
with a beautiful title reflecting my understanding of life— positivity exists in any negativity.
It simulates the stage of education and the events affecting it until I graduated from college.
The book received good acclaim because it simulates the primary stage of education.
When I was thinking of writing the third book, I thought it was appropriate to be a continuation of the previous two messages.
The purpose of the third message: I found it necessary to be the most perfect chance to find myself.
Imagine, me, after seventy years of my life, I decided to find myself to whom I should care.
oo
I think many people do not know themselves, they may even imagine the opposite of reality, and everyone is ready to justify their own views to defend themselves, and few blame themselves.
And after being convinced of what should be
