It is truly unfortunate that many view depression in a negative way. More unfortunate is that even people suffering from depression are discriminated. The stigma forces them to retreat; worst, the isolation can overwhelm them with sadness, guilt and helplessness. How many lives were lost because they can no longer be involved in life and because they no longer have the ability to motivate themselves or follow through with ideas that would help them?
The story of Julius J. Cruz proves healing can happen and people can bounce back and be victorious over depression. I admire the selflessness of Julius to willingly share his story so that others may know there is hope and depression can be treated. This little book permeates with inspiration.
