Description

There are numerous commentaries of I-Ching by Chinese scholars over thousands years. Regardless how graceful the language they have used, I-Ching is fundamentally a divination book. I try to use as simple as possible English language to help readers to get quick answers of their questions in mind. So other than explanation of the theme of each hexagram, there are 18 brief answers to most popular questions: conflict, deal, family, fortune, job hunting, lost stuff, marriage/relationship, missing person, new career, etc. In this book, it also tells the reader it is time to wait, to retreat or to go ahead. Sometimes we just have to do nothing and patiently wait for the situation to turn around. It is all about the timing, good or bad. If you don't use I-Ching for divination, it is also a good book to see so many scenarios in our daily life. It is amazing to see how the combination of 8 natural elements, Ying, Yang, wind, fire, water, thunder, lake and mountain can interpret the realistic 384 scenarios of humanity life. Relax and enjoy the book.

Acknowledgement

I truly appreciate the opportunity for me to sit down and take time to write this book. I always got so many questions in my mind about humanity life on this planet Earth.
I-Ching was the very first book I studied more than 30 years ago and have used it for divination ever since. I am so grateful for the wisdom of ancient Chinese.
I want to express my gratitude to my partner, my family and my son.

About the Author
Preface

I-Ching, reads Yi-Jing, translates as ‘ Scripture of Change’ or ‘ Scripture of Easiness.’ Once you find the answer or parth, life is not that difficult. When ancient Chinese tribal kings or emperors needed to make major decisions, they either did divination themselves, or asked their high minister to do it based on the I-Ching.
We all have our own little kingdoms, such as career, family, relatioships, bank accounts, schooling, safety, reputation and so on, which we need to protect and sustain. We want to develop or expand our little kindoms, but things are not always coming our way. We want to know which one is a better choice: ‘to do it’ or ‘not to do it’.
Other than making a decision of action, we also have to be conscious of the timing which is always important. We might be able to forsee a big project far ahead of others - if the timing is not ready for our ideas to be implemented, we will face lots of obstacles. Instead of exhausting our resources, we’d be better off waiting untill the right timing to carry it out. We like to make the least effort to achieve the best result.
You are interested in I-Ching, which is deeply embedded in Chinese culture for thousands of years. You are seeking ancient Chinese wisdom to get answers for questions in your current life. There are 64 hexagrams in I-Ching which symbolize 64 scenariors of human life. There are 6 probable scenariors which stem from each hexagram, making a total of 384 mini scenariors. You can take the scenario as reference for your problems, or simply read I-Ching as a story book to get insight of the human experience.
To help reader pronounce the hexagram in Chinese, I put the number of tones next to it. Chinese madarin has four clear tones and one dull tone. For example: #19 Lin 2 – Approach . The Lin has second ascending tone. All vowels pronounce like A,E,I,O,U in Spanish. If you like to learn more, there are many websites offer the study of Chinese language.
Divination Methods
Questions to ask

To do divination, you prepare a question in your mind. The more questions you ask, the better picure of the whole situatin you will get.
Ask about general concern --
♣ “How is the US economy?”
♣ “What will the US economy be like in 2015?”
♣ “Will the US economy be good in 2016?”
Or ask about personal career --
♣ “Will I be hired by XYZ company?”
♣ “Will it be good for me to join XYZ company?”
♣ “Is XYZ company my best choice for my career?”
♣ “Will I get along with others in XYZ company?”
How about starting a business --
♣ “Should I start a business?”
♣ “Is this location good for my business?
♣ “Is the timing good to open the new business?”
Why try different appraoches to get answers?
Sometimes the situation is not as simple as it appears. You might get hired by XZY company, but your boss or others don’t like you for personal reasons. The XYZ company might be struggling (only the Chief Finaical Officer knows it) and the company may not make it to next year. XYZ company may offer you better benefits, but you won’t learn or gain much experience. Think and ask many questions from different aspects, which can help you draw a better picture.
One example --
Your tenant is 15 days past due. No phone calls answered. You start to worry. If you follow standard legal procedure, it will take at least 45 days to get them out and another 2 weeks to clean up, repair, and paint the house. You would rather tenants to stay than give them a 3-days notice. Now ask --
♣ “How is the tenant doing now?”
♣ “Will tenant move out?”
♣ “Shall I give tenant a 3-days notice?”
♣ “Will I receive the rent next week?”
♣ “How is the relationship between me and tenant?”
Another example --
♣ “Will my boyfriend propose to me before New Year?”, if not, then …
♣ “Will my boyfriend propose to me before summer of next year? ”
Why ask these two questions side by side? If you ask “Will my boyfriend propose to me?’ He may, but will it be after ten years? Fifteen years later?
Sometimes the Hexagram provides in-depth answers. One Hexagram can’t indicate all the answers behind the scene. There are six probabilities/possible trends of each hexagram, as life is constantly changing. Regardless which hexagram and probability you get, remember - you can always change your own future.
Tools you need :

♣ Calmness and the ability to stay neutral
Take 3 deep breaths, inhale and exhale by counting to 3. This will help you clear anger, frustration, anxiety, excitement, or sorrow. Your emotions can affect the outcomes and interpretation of answers.

♣ Have an open and sincere mind
Take 3 deep breaths, inhale and exhale by counting to 3. Then ask your angels, guardians, archangels or any divine beings you trust to help you.

♣ Be honest with yourself
No one is watching over your shoulder other than divine beings who you have invited to help. Besides that, you should be doing the divination alone. Don’t lie to yourself.

♣ Anything can be used to represent Ying and Yang
