"The writer underlined many important facts which reminded me of my childhood, teenage years or a quite recent times.
"The hereby piece of writing is embedded with the word ‘motivation’, which is transparent throughout the book. Along the way, the reader encounters other significant factors in life, such as exploring our talents, developing abilities, following the mind or heart, setting goals, their realisation and finally accomplishing the desired success.
"I must agree with the writer that those aforementioned points are extremely important in the life of every individual. People can often be told about the impossibility of their achievements, realising goals, etc.; however, it is entirely upon them which side they take. We are born as a blank paper, ready to be written, drawn or coloured with any experience that we want.
You are the creator of your life, and you must take responsibility for your own journey, your own knowledge and your own happiness.
By taking away someone’s ability to choose, we often take their life purpose, which is a key to understanding why they live their life the way they do. If someone lives a life meant for someone else, they will feel empty because of it and their life will lack meaning… If you feel that you do not have a life purpose, you do not know why you are here. If you have an idea of what your life purpose is, it is probably in your mind right now; or maybe not knowing it is the reason why you are reading this book.
Do not worry, you are not alone; I was like that at first. I could not sing but I really wanted to be a singer. I lost all singing competitions. I did not get anywhere with my singing apart from receiving the advice that I should stop singing. I could not draw, and I was awful with technology. I wondered if the universe had forgotten about me, and I wondered if there was anything that I can do well. All I knew was that I felt an unconditional love for people. I made a point of helping people, which gave me fresh energy to motivate and help people create a feeling of fulfilment. However, it was still not clear to me what my life purpose was and I felt very lost.
I had always been very good at sports and soon after I joined high school, I became a professional basketball player. Despite excelling, I still did not feel that this was on the right path. I am impatient and wanted things to fall into place right away; instead of searching for my purpose, I focused on the things I could not do, rather than the things I could . Therefore, finding myself was a hard and exciting journey. Until I understood that my life’s meaning was what I say it is , life became much easier and fun again. Whenever I wanted to experience and believe in something, it came to me. Sometimes it was a happy experience but other times, it was painful.
You’re probably asking yourself why I would choose pain over happiness. In life, you need both. You will never know what true happiness is without pain and you will never know pain if you do not experience it. If you never look for yourself, you will never find yourself. I never chose pain, but some experiences were painful. Although, ultimately, those experiences enabled me to grow. They gave me strength, as well as showing me what I did not want from life.
I was receiving uncomfortable feedback from life; I felt I was not on the right path. I was walking so far and not reaching my destination. I kept going forward even though I was hurting from walking so far already, I kept going. You have to go through pain in order to realise: you need to change direction to get to where you want to be. Choosing what I wanted moved me towards the right path and people who truly matter to me and this journey would not be possible without them. Still, if you feel that your life is full of mental and physical pain and blockages, it is probably feedback from life telling you that you are not on an accurate path yet.
