About the Author
Writer and mother Jacqueline Escolme battled serious illness from her mid-twenties and spent ten years studying alternative health and the mind-body connection after being written off by her doctor. This life-changing journey into self-help and personal development revolutionised her approach to wellness and gave her a unique understanding of the human body.
While living as an expatriate in Russia, America and South Africa, Jacqueline studied and explored everything from “old-fashioned” to “unconventional” health practices. She qualified as a Natural Nutritionist
and Transformational Coach and continually tested and applied her learning to develop the unique and truly integrated mind-body process she describes in Rebuild Your Health, Reclaim Your Life .

Introduction
The aim of this book is to demystify the process of being and feeling well, written by someone who’s had to learn the hard way!
First, let me say this is NOT a diet book or a new fad. There are nutritional guidelines to help you, but this is primarily a book about understanding how you got to a point of illness and how to create health and vitality instead.
If you are caught up in an illness, allergy or any kind of condition that affects your health and wellbeing, then I’d like to show you how you can create achievable change and long lasting health. This approach is not a sugarcoated pill that will magic away your symptoms. It’s an “I’ve been there, I’ve done it and here’s what worked for me.”
Take a moment and ask yourself: what if, instead of your illness having all the power, you did?
What if you knew how to create health instead of toxicity? How would your life look then?
Would you love to know how to let your natural and inherent good health re-emerge, just by creating the right conditions?
Would you LOVE some simply put, easy to follow information to get you heading back towards health, and the life you want?

If you find yourself questioning why you are unwell, from generalised fatigue to full-blown disease, rest assured, you are not alone. Many people are looking for a simpler way. My hope is that this book, in some part, illuminates it.
If you picked up this book, the chances are you need it. Maybe you’re suffering with illness. Perhaps you experience a persistent low-grade fatigue you can’t shift. You may feel lethargic, despondent or never fully happy or able to experience joy. You may have symptoms, allergies and intolerances that you’ve coped with for so long they’ve become a part of you and you can’t remember how life ever was before they arrived.
Are you ready to be free of them?
My advice is this – Start right now, wherever you are, with whatever you bring to the table and begin your rebuild. It will not all be plain sailing. I can tell you from experience that there will be highs and lows, but I encourage you to hold your course, apply this process and keep moving in the direction of health. The knowledge I gained from over ten years of rebuilding myself has been poured into these page with love, in the hope that it will empower you and enable you to achieve results much faster.
I am an average woman who chose to see health differently and if I can do it, you can too.
SECTION 1

START WHEREYOU ARE WITH WHAT YOU HAVE
These days it’s relatively rare to meet someone who doesn’t have a health issue. From allergies to asthma and full-blown disease, ill health seems to be everywhere and many people are in a state of overwhelm, bombarded by contradicting information.
Are you someone who’s so used to having symptoms that the medication you started taking as a coping strategy has become a way of life?
I know how it feels to be dependent on tablets. To wait, as though life is on hold, for blood test results, or the next scan. Illness can exert so much control over your life that, in addition to your symptoms, it becomes draining emotionally, financially and energetically.
Whether you’re experiencing the first niggling symptoms of illness or you’re looking back at your life wondering how things got to this point. Now is the time to get interested in your illness and yourself. The truth is that no matter which doctors you’ve seen or what medication you’re taking, the only person who can ultimately heal you, is YOU.
Medication may certainly remove your symptoms, for as long as you continue to take it, but to truly heal means to not need the medication, because your symptoms no longer exist. To me, that is health.
In this book, I’m going to show you how to create conditions for health, using a simple law of cause and effect. In essence, if you address the cause, you get a better effect, which is vibrant, energised health. The sad fact is most people don’t realise they are consciously and unconsciously creating conditions for anything but
