Sample Book Insights:
#1 The first mistake that modern medicine makes is the assumption that dry mouth is the only sign of dehydration. However, the human body uses a different logic: to be able to chew and swallow food, and to facilitate and lubricate this function, ample saliva is produced, even if the rest of the body is short of water.
#2 The first major mistake in the basic science of medicine is the assumption that water is a simple substance that only dissolves and circulates different things. Water has two primary properties in the body: its life-sustaining properties and its life-giving functions. Modern medicine only recognizes the life-sustaining properties of water.
#3 The human body has many different ways of showing its general or local water needs. Dehydration causes a constantly changing new chemical state in the body, and when this state becomes fully established, it causes many structural changes.
#4 A new paradigm is the basic infrastructure on which knowledge within a discipline of thought develops. It is more easily born when there is a specific need and a purpose to find a solution.

Insights from Chapter 1

#1

The first mistake that modern medicine makes is the assumption that dry mouth is the only sign of dehydration. However, the human body uses a different logic: to be able to chew and swallow food, and to facilitate and lubricate this function, ample saliva is produced, even if the rest of the body is short of water.

#2

The first major mistake in the basic science of medicine is the assumption that water is a simple substance that only dissolves and circulates different things. Water has two primary properties in the body: its life-sustaining properties and its life-giving functions. Modern medicine only recognizes the life-sustaining properties of water.

#3

The human body has many different ways of showing its general or local water needs. Dehydration causes a constantly changing new chemical state in the body, and when this state becomes fully established, it causes many structural changes.

#4

A new paradigm is the basic infrastructure on which knowledge within a discipline of thought develops. It is more easily born when there is a specific need and a purpose to find a solution.

#5

The history of mankind tells us that through basic discoveries of the applied techniques of nature, important leaps of progress have been made. I had become a political prisoner of Islamic revolutionaries in Iran in 1979, and I discovered that two glasses of water could relieve even the severest abdominal pain associated with peptic ulcer disease.

#6

I was not executed, but I was given a three-year sentence. I was released with an official acclaim for my discovery. During my prison time, I gained much new understanding about the physiological effects of water and its relationship to many disease conditions.

#7

The human body is capable of understanding the role of water in maintaining its well-being, even though mainstream medicine does not. Water is the main source of life, and everyone knows this, but there is shameful ignorance about the health dangers we expose our bodies to when we do not drink enough water.

#8

The various signals or symptoms produced during severe and lasting dehydration are actually signs of water shortage, and the local damage is because of water shortage. Because doctors don’t recognize chronic dehydration as the original cause, the disease conditions receive all sorts of explanations and labels.
Insights from Chapter 2

#1

The modern medical system is based on the understanding that it is the body’s solid composition that governs all its functions. However, this understanding is flawed, as we still do not know much about the human body.

#2

The role of water in the bodies of all living species, including humans, has not changed since the earliest creation of life in water. When humans are stressed, the body’s water-regulating process reflects this stress.

#3

The various signals produced by the water distributors and drought managers indicate regional body thirst and drought, and can be relieved by an increased intake of water. However, many doctors mistake dehydration for one or another disease and treat the symptoms with medication rather than water.

#4

The new paradigm states that the body loses water as we age, and that we should replace that water through hydration. The most significant and major complication of dehydration is the loss of essential amino acids, which are used to manufacture neurotransmitters.

#5

The practice of medicine is becoming more and more regressive. People have learned that they feel better and are more energetic if they drink water instead of sodas or alcoholic drinks. But some researchers have found that children’s scholastic performance dramatically improves when they drink water instead of sodas.

#6

The view that water is only a solvent, a packing material, and a means of transport is wrong. Water has a dominant metabolic role in all physiological functions of the body. It is the interior of the cells that would become dehydrated in dehydration, not the extracellular fluid volume.

#7

The body needs water to function properly, and it is much easier for it to deal with a slight surplus of water than with a slight deficit. The outcome of constantly circulating concentrated blood in the vascular system is an invitation to catastrophe.
