About This Book
Digestive diseases range from a simple upset stomach to life-threatening cancers. Various statistics show that approximately 60–70 million people in the United States have been affected by digestive diseases. According to the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS), in 2018, 7.9 million Americans were admitted to the emergency departments, and 37.2 million had visited physicians due to various digestive disorders.
