As the years have grown to centuries, the sharp sickles of error and unbelief have lopped off some of the branches, but the plants still live. Most of her Christian men and women, who have been transplanted to other climes as home or foreign missionaries or business men, have maintained the true faith once delivered to the saints. They have held fast to the plain, strong, Scriptural doctrines, which are able to make men wise unto salvation, with greater tenacity than some of their New England brethren are doing at the present day. But there is still a great vitality in the religious life of this grand and beloved New England.
