He was not always wise in the action which he took, or wished to take, in reference to this matter; NO one who understands his character would expect that he should be. Charles Wesley was not a calm, judicious statesman, like his brother, but a poet, with all a poet's emotion and impulsiveness. He was never made to stand alone, but to work with others who might be roused and cheered by his devotion and his love.
