About the Authors
Amber Stonehouse Tully, MD, is Associate Staff in the Department of Family Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. She has a special interest in dermatology, plastic surgery, physical diagnosis, and clinical images. While a medical student she co-developed a medical imaging database, Jefferson Clinical Images (JCI), which currently holds over 1200 images, boards review questions, clinical cases, and lectures. Dr. Tully enjoys medical writing and has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals. She and Dr. Studdiford created Top Doc, a medical quiz iPhone app released in 2010. Dr. Tully has received several leadership awards, including the Family Medicine Education Consortium Emerging Leader Award, AAFP/Bristol Myers Squibb Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education, the William Potter Memorial Prize in Clinical Medicine, the Arthur Krieger Memorial Prize in Family Medicine, the Drs. Ronald R. and Henry Pohl Prize for Professionalism, and the J. Savacool Prize in Medical Ethics.
James S. Studdiford, MD, FACP, is an Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He has a special interest in medical photography; he founded and developed a medical imaging database, Jefferson Clinical Images (JCI), in conjunction with Academic Information Services and Research of Scott Memorial library at Thomas Jefferson University. The JCI database includes write-ups for each image and exceeds 1000 entries. Doctor Studdiford also has an active interest in medical student education. He has received several awards for teaching, including Senior Class Portrait, Humanism in Medicine Award, and The Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching in a Clinical Science. He has also delivered The Oath of Hippocrates for the graduating senior class of Jefferson Medical College on several occasions.
