Extrait

The love between the Master and the disciple is not of the physical; hence space makes no difference. Yon can be far away on another star but your heart will be still beating with me. That is the only closeness; otherwise yon can be sitting by my side and still yon may be wandering somewhere on some other star. I am not interested in your physical body, where it is; I am interested in your being, that it is centered. I am interested in your love - that it reaches to as many people as possible.

At the feet of My Beloved Master OSHO
FOREWORD
Osho , as I see, is one of the most important persons who walked on planet earth ever. He continues to influence the entire human kind. In fact, he is the first enlightened radical thinker and master , who thought of the entire human race and its growth from economical, mental and spiritual points of view. It is amazing that in a short life span of fifty-eight years, he could do so much, but his influence is needed to do things left over. He has spoken on every subject that concerns man and life - from education, economics, health, love, sex, marriage, family, nation, war and peace to meditation, enlightenment, religiousness and a lot more in his innumerable writings and speeches.
Osho can be cognized as the Socrates of the 20 th century. He is one of the most radical and influential thinkers in the annals of world history. His name evokes both respect and admiration — respect for his awakened approach to a new Indian, yet totally globalized philosophy; and admiration for the simple expression of the natural and comparative evaluation of different currents of philosophies, philosophers and awakened masters he made. And, no doubt, Osho is an all time favourite of academicians and spiritualists all over the world. He has proved to be the most trustworthy friend of man. Yet he continues to be a disputed philosopher.
Osho’s work commenced from Jabalpur when he lived there and was known as Acharya Rajneesh . I know that Swami Ageh Bharti had been a close witness to Osho’s expanding work right from the days of Jabalpur sojourn. He had been actively participating, despite his busy preoccupation in the department of Indian Railways. It is worth mentioning that Osho authorized Swami Ageh Bharti (then Shiv ) to send articles in his name even on the subject on which he had not spoken then. (His Rare Blessing ).
It is good of Swami Ageh Bhartiji that he shared his experiences through precious memoirs. On many occasions, it clearly appears that Ageh Bharti gets emotional with tears of love and devotion. The language he adapted has a smooth flow and takes the reader virtually to the scene presented in his memoirs. These memoirs stand out as the valuable reference document. Most of them refer back to those four years about which period (1967-70) nothing has been presented to the mass.
This book of memoirs will be of extraordinary help in understanding the complexities of human nature within and beyond, besides in discovering how the world could turn into a planet of perpetual peace and love. This book allows the reader to avail an opportunity to view Osho from various angles. It would usher most, of the readers in different ways, as experienced in memoirs earlier, titled Love means acceptance , Not only divine but humane too and Why ask me?
It would appeal to the intelligentsia and the layman alike as a great source of intellectual enrichment with the spiritual bliss. Every reader could imbibe much from the rare compendium— so worthy to be read, treasured and gifted by every intellectual, and particularly by Osho lovers and pro- Osho citizens of the world.

PREFACE TO THE MAIDEN HINDI EDITION
Inspired by many peers, I had planted cactus in my garden, too. I searched and collected several varieties of the plant in my herbarium.
I had heard that cactus in its thorny, featureless life blossoms, just once; and that it is seen by very few, for, it is very short-lived, but the flower is unfathomed in beauty.
One night I returned home very late. Midnight was through by the dinner time. Yet, instead of going to my bed, I walked into my garden to enjoy the cool breeze and moonlight spread across. I saw a very beautiful white flower to have blossomed amidst the healthiest cactus. I was overwhelmed by its splendid beauty! Lo! I could not sleep well that night. No sooner it dawned, I went on calling up friends to pay a visit and see that a cactus had blossomed in my garden!
Somewhat similar feelings kept arising in me ever since I came in close contact with Osho. I felt that I should have stood atop the mountain to herald the world about this unique cactus flower viz., Osho. Yes, hasn’t India’s destiny over centuries been thorny like that of a cactus? There have been only thorns — no flower has blossomed ever!
India has been recognized as one of the oldest countries on planet earth. She has inherited a great culture and unique civilization. It is accepted universally that no other country has gone deeper in search of truth than India. It is also said that there was a time when spirituality and religion flow like infinite lines going parallel in her very blood veins.
Perhaps, a fall into the ditch is inevitable on reaching the peak. This could explain the position for such a long and sad downfall of this country on the socio-political levels. There may not be any other society that would have remain enslaved to outside powers for nearly one thousand years. Unfortunately, even today, her place is the least among the most backward and undeveloped countries.
Thanks to her affluent past in the religious field that once in a while great souls kept coming amid us. The birth of enlightened masters like Paramahansa Ramakrishna, Maharishi Ramana, and J. Krishnamurti within one century bears ample testimony.
Paramahansa left his physical abode before I was born. I feel sorry of my inability meet Maharishi Ramana despite him being a contemporary. The cause -I had been an atheist per se , till his death.
I came in contact with J. Krishnamurti, not only, I admired India’s destiny but also of my own. But I thought that from the level of spiritual growth, he was the pinnacle. I had no idea about the highest peak of human potential, the Everest to have metamorphosed elsewhere in the form of Osho.
It is true that if by sheer luck, the rebellious J. Krishnamurti had not come in my life, perhaps Osho also could not have. When I came in contact with the great rebel Osho , I experienced that it was owing to the deep roots of spirituality in this piece of land called India that such a genius took birth here.
It is not surprising that the influence of Osho has made peers to believe that the very soul of the Universe has taken form as Osho. One wonders why our society that was once so familiar with great souls who are the abode of religiousness, is not able to recognize its own sun of wisdom, Osho. Why it has discouraged Osho , the emobidment of glorified wisdom. Will it worship later with his footprints and emboldened values?
I am quite diffident about handling the subtle aspect of wisdom with limited knowledge. It would be a bigger crime to overlook the perpetual beauty of that cactus flower, which made it difficult to believe my own eyes. Then, to deprive friends from gazing it by not letting them know would have been a greater crime. I still remember that possessed with immense joy, they had danced to the lilting hums from within that morning. And, that flower had withered away the same day.
Similarly, I believe that the avataras and tirthankaras , the prophets and the messiahs of the past — be it lords Krishna, Mahavira, Buddha, Lao-tzu, Jesus Christ or Mohammad Ali- have incarnated collectively per se, in the form of Osho. Hence, it is for the first time that Osho does not belong to any particular community, race or nation, but represent the whole mankind.
Swami Ageh Bharti is fortunate that right in his young age, he came in close contact with Osho. He got an invaluable opportunity to watch Osho in His divine play under numerous conditions with myriad approaches and responses coming from his indescribable presence, utterances and gestures. Agehji not only has a sensitive heart, but is being blessed with sharp vision and acumen of an artist capable of expressing to perfection. His pen is very alive as if metal gold has acquired evanascent fragrance.
When I saw some of his memoirs about Osho in the magazine ‘ Yukrand ’, I wrote a letter asking him why doesn’t he put the precious memoirs in the form of a book. I repeated my request during the last summit at Mount. Abu where devouts were trained on transcendantal meditation. Some friends pressurized him for repeating the act.
I derive immense pleasure from the thought that the collection of Ageh ji’s memoirs titled ‘ Indradhanushi Smritiyon Mein Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh ’ will be available to Osho devouts in the form of a book. A fascinating glimpse of Osho’s life is being presented for the first time, which was seldom found elsewhere.
These memoirs have been written deep down the heart that the reader couldn’t escape from being immersed in the ocean of peace. I believe, the natural, simple and racy style of writing of the author will mesmerize the reader till the 1st page. Those who abstained from meditation camp will find themselves extremely happy. Friends who have not travelled with Osho find themselves accompanying his spirit, even now. The descriptions of the events are so vivid that the reader simpl
