What They Said About Courageous Hope
In Courageous Hope Dr Charisse le Roux is teaching hope in a practical honest and real way. It takes us all back to the Godly standard that we know in our heart of hearts to be right. She is bringing wisdom grounded in the Word and the Holy Spirit on how to do life with God and with each other, with excellence. Courageous Hope will encourage you to live your greatest life as God intended it for you.
(Pastor Gary and Rhona Kieswetter. Founders and Senior Leaders, Die Bron Church, Tygervalley)
While reading through these daily devotions in Courageous Hope I could personally relate with each one. Embedded in the simplicity of each message, I found a nugget of pure gold. The value thereof is without measure and will be a blessing to everyone who read it.
May the blessings of our Heavenly Father be with this precious book.
(Author: Hephzibah Maritz, Tygervalley)

Dedication
I dedicate this book to my heavenly Father to whom all glory belongs. May these devotions be an instrument of ‘Courageous Hope’ and inspiration but most important of all our hope in Christ Jesus.
I’m especially grateful to my loving husband Zig, children and family in always encouraging and believing in me.
Hope is a powerful thing. It inspires us to do the impossible and helps us carry on during difficult times.
H : Hearts – It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love in our hearts put into others that matters.
O : Opportunity to serve, a life of significance is about serving those who need your gifts, your leadership, and your purpose.
P : Physical Well-being – Take care of your body so it can take care of you.
E : Educate yourself, learn all you can about situations that can bring hope to others. Hope refreshes your life.

1. Be faithful (strong and courageous)
Be bold enough to use your voice, brave enough to listen to your heart, and strong enough to live the life you’ve imagined. Anonymous
G od has called us to be faithful in our service to him. As Joshua was called to be strong and courageous, we too are called to that same calling but it can only happen when we are grounded in God’s Word and resting on His power!
Courage and boldness are terms and characteristics we reserve for heroes. We think about the brave men and women of our Armed Forces and how they go out and lay their lives on the line every day. We think about the men and women of our Police Service who protect and serve and do their best to keep our city streets safe for all of us. They lay their lives on the line every day. We think about the men and women of the Fire Department who brave dangerous situations to save the homes of total strangers, laying their lives on the line to help others!
We think about the missionary on the international mission field who is serving in a country where Christianity is illegal and if they are caught, their lives are in danger for serving God. They lay their lives on the line to bring the Gospel to the world.
But when you think about bold and courageous, do you ever think about yourself? So often we discount our own roles in service to God. We think to ourselves, what can I do, who am I in God’s plan? We put ourselves down by thinking I am a nobody or who is going to listen to me? I want to encourage you to be strong, be courageous. You have been chosen by God, set aside and never forget that God is with you.
Finally, know that no matter where we go in life or what we do in life, we need the strength and courage we receive from God’s Word, because life is tough, this world is evil, and the enemy is seeking to tear us apart!
Joshua 1:5–6
No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous.

2. Now is the hour
How did it get so late so soon? It’s night before its afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flown. How did it get so late so soon? – Dr Seus
How often do we regret that we didn’t spend our time wisely? How often do we dream: if only we could amend things we did or didn’t do long ago? The older we get, the longer and thicker are the shadows of the past. Most of us always seem to be busy. We’
