Description

You will spend on average six years of your life dreaming. This is more than a simple mental process. It is clear from the Bible that dreams and visions are important ways in which God chooses to speak to people. This book teaches you how to understand the language of dreams and visions so that you can hear what God is saying to you at night, and during your prayer times. Love has a Voice and He wants to speak to His modern-day people. Everybody dreams, and there is great interest in dreams. Interpreting dreams for non-Christian people can help them to receive God's love and guidance. The book is highly practical, and includes training exercises at the end of each chapter.

Interpreting Dreams and Visions
A dynamic and fresh approach to a spiritual resource long neglected.
Revd Dr Russ Parker, author of Healing Dreams
Quoting the prophet Joel on the day of Pentecost, the apostle Peter underlined that dreams and visions were to be one of the primary ways in which God would communicate the revelation of His heart to His people under the New Covenant. Nevertheless, the interpretation of dreams and visions has often been marginalized and overlooked or even rejected in the Church; either because it was misunderstood, or simply because the necessary tools were missing. In this incredibly practical and down to earth book, Liz Evans combines her years of personal experience, with proven biblical wisdom and fascinating practical examples and exercises, to provide the reader with a comprehensive handbook that will serve many seeking to grow in their understanding of how, when and to whom God speaks through dreams and visions. I commend it wholeheartedly!
Wes Hall, Principal, Revival Training Center of Stuttgart, Germany
Having worked with Liz and welcomed her to teach dream interpretation at our church, I am delighted that she has now made her work available through this book. Liz s ministry is solidly bible based, highly inspirational and easily accessible to everyone. Above all her passion for Jesus, love for people and integrity for truth, combined with amazing spiritual sensitivity, makes her prophetic ministry unique and trustworthy. This book is an essential tool for anyone serious about interpreting dreams and taking this ministry into the market place. The potential is both transformational and limitless.
Revd Clive W. Corfield, Senior Pastor, City Church, St Albans and Founding director, REAP

This book is of course dedicated to God s great gift to me, my family.
To Dave: some twenty years ago you made me a promise on our wedding day, and I ve lived in the circle of it ever since. Thank you is such a tiny word for all your love.
To AnnaElouise and Jonny: It never occurred to me when you joined our family that you would bring so much fun and hilarity with you.
AnnaElouise, you are a joyous mix of gifting, wit, and beauty. How can anything so tiny be so wise?
Jonathan, you have filled the house with fun, guitar music, and athletics medals. I love the way you defend people and care for them. With you every day is a party.
The sheer quality of who you both are and the strength that is in you, is awesome. We believe in you and who you are made to be.
In memory of my father, Arthur Kenneth White, 1930-1997, a consummate teacher and pastor, a countryman who taught me to honour God, serve His people, and love words.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Thank you to my PA Leigh Giles. Our latest adventure was to write a book. My children say that in ministry we make up one person and you are three-quarters of it. Thank you for researching obscure references, typing endlessly, and bringing order to my world. If it s true that those who serve will be called to sit at the head of the table, then the rest of us will wave to you from its foot. I m in awe of your grace and commitment.
Thank you, Feel Good Community, because this book has been written as we ve lived the material in it together. You ve made generosity and kindness watchwords, and you carry His power with understated grace. Pioneering, ministry, family, and fun in creative, vibrant community: bliss.
A particular thank you to my father-in-law, John Evans, whose encouragement to keep going while I wrote this manuscript meant more than he will know.
And to Carolyn Cooper, with whom the Love has a Voice ministry was birthed as we travelled and trained together. Your wisdom is a powerful force in the ministry. You and Judith Hoffman have carried so much of the DNA and weight of the teaching and outreach ministry, respectively, over the years - thank you for your support. I ve seen spiritual daughters grow into weighty ministers of God.
Thank you to the seers, whose dreams and visions are in this book for us to learn from, for sharing your revelation stories with us.
And finally, thank you to Jenny Hewett and Chris Giles for weighing the exercise interpretations in team.
FOREWORD
The moment we turn our light out at night and settle our head into the pillow we embark on an adventure, and it is an adventure in the dark. Sooner or later we lose our awareness of the world we have inhabited during the day, and our mind slips into a world of apparently random and disordered thoughts and feelings that, several times during the night, congeal into experiences that we call dreams . These are highly visual, and yet we can only observe them with our eyes closed, because they can only be witnessed by our inner eyes. Come the morning, when we awake from our night s rest, we can sometimes remember scenes and feelings from these dreams. They tell us that we have visited an extraordinary world where the normal rules of life do not apply: we meet people who have died long ago; we play instruments we have never learned; we become weightless and float over the trees. Even if we only remember fragments of them, some dreams manage to capture our longings, and others capture our dreads or our shame. Some horrify or terrify us - those that we call nightmares . Most we quickly dismiss the moment we open our curtains and walk into the daylight hours. Such dismissals can mean we miss the pearl of great price, for something was ringing out in our souls as a message to be heard. But because we have not understood the language, we have shrugged our shoulders and assumed it was simply a figment of our imagination that is best left in the dark.
While dreams take place in the hours of sleep, visions and visual impressions in the mind are more likely to come to us in our waking hours. Humans have a wonderful capacity to see things that are beyond the scope of our mortal eyes, and the Bible is full of stories of people who see in this way: Abraham a
