Description

GOD IS SUPREME, so far above us, that He must humble Himself to look upon the things that are in the earth, which may be understandable, however, He must also humble Himself before He can even behold the things that are in heaven!

Our ultimate end goal is to be able to live in heaven for all of eternity, with the Father and with the Son! This hope of our desired eternal home is the place of our final rest in eternal comfort, joy and peace in His presence for our resurrected and glorified spiritual bodies!

The God we worship is far greater than any of us can possibly even imagine! We sing the song “How great thou art,” however, the word “great,” or “awesome,” or any other word, is very much inadequate and far beneath our being able to describe the glory of God, because His glory is inconceivable to the human mind!

God is above all, -- far above all! Before all,-- far before all! Encompassing all and possessing all, of everything! God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, all encompassing, all knowing, all powerful and answers all our concerns! He is transcendent, in that He is un-created, has always existed, is eternal and is far above His creation, He is the epitome of all perfection, righteousness, purity, holiness, peace and joy! God is all in all! There is none other like Him, nor will there ever be!

The love of God is simply God’s nature!! If we would desire to have fellowship with God, we must do so within the parameters of the nature of God, being “partakers of the Divine Nature,” which is the expression of God’s pure love, which relationship has been promised to us!

Jesus Christ went through the exact same things we are going through, on this earth, yet He, through the power of the Holy Spirit, overcame the world and being made perfect, “as a man,” He was fully qualified to die for each one of us, taking our sins upon Himself, paying for those sins, with His blood, fulfilling the law that says “sin must die!” He endured the terrible suffering of the cruel physical pain of the cross and the horrible agony of one being temporarily, spiritually separated from God the Father, when He took our sins upon Himself, for God cannot look upon sin! Christ, unselfishly took all of that horrific terror and pain of our sin, upon Himself, all because of His deep love for each one of us!

Christ, our High Priest, is the ultimate and supreme example for us to live our lives by! However, we, within the confines of our earthly minds, are not fully able to attain to His perfection! However, through the blood of Jesus Christ, “if” we have the “boldness” to enter in to the “Holiest,” we may then fully be able to be partakers of God’s Holy Spirit, which will and does lead us into our being able to be conformed to Christ’s image! This personal presence with God, can be attained by our being silent before God, waiting on Him, in humble prayer!

Do you have the “faith” and the “boldness” to enter into God’s presence?

This is a collection of articles, which were written over the past years. The first portion of this collection, were intended for young people, some connected with sports, but also other subjects, pertaining to life. The rest of them, are intended to be just basic Christianity!
Psalm 19: 14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my rede emer.”
The purpose and prayer for this book is that the first part of this writing might help young people to find the Lord and especially to “know God,” which will put real meaning and purpose into those young lives!
If you are truly pursuing the Lord, desiring to “Know God,” our prayer is that the purpose of this book and especially the last few articles, in this missive, might lead you to find real meaning in the joy and happiness, of one truly being “in Christ,” which leads one to truly “knowing God!”
If the Lord wills this to happen, you will find that any other life you might choose, will not appeal to you at all any more, because nothing this world can offer will even come close to the ecstasy of one living in the joy of one truly “knowing God!
Preface
Maturing within the Mystery of the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord!
{Intended for the young, as well as for the more mature Chris tian.}
Over the years, I had given copies of my articles to friends and family, but other than that, I only tried to present a couple of them to our church, in the absence of the preacher.
Those two talks were “The mystery of the gospel of Jesus Christ” and “The love of God.” However, my emotions would not allow me to present them correctly and for that reason, I was not able to try to speak again, even though, after the presentation, many of the people did seem to receive the intended message.
Several years ago, I had prayed to the Lord, that He might remove those emotions from me, because they seemed to me to be a real detriment to my trying to be a “light for Christ.”
–—And, the Lord actually did remove that emotional weakness! -–-
However, afterward, I felt cold, unfeeling and alone! I had no desire to be around people and was unable to experience the love that the scriptures tell us we should have for each other!
My life was empty and without purpose!
Finding myself stuck in this state of affairs, it was not long before I again, prayed to the Lord that He restore the sense of His presence within me! The Lord then did give those vulnerable emotions back to me and although, they were not my first choice, they are much better than one not having compassion for anything, -— even for life, itself!
Because of the above concerns, I decided that I must again look to the scriptures for a possible answer. The one consolation I did find, was from the Apostle Paul.
2 Cor. 12: 9 “And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” {I just hope that I can eventually accept my situation, as the Apostle Paul did!} “Mostly gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me,” {And this is also my continuing pr ayer!}
I then continued writing however, you can be rest assured, if there is anything good within the following articles, the Lord and the scriptures, quoted from His Word, would be the cause of it, because I am but a small dry land farmer and have had no specialized training in the things of the gospel, except that, as a sinner, I love the Lord and the desire of my life has been that I might do “His will” in my life!
I also have had my share of unsolvable problems in life, but when I look back at those things, -— but from a different perspective now, -— the Lord has been very merciful and good to me, in that He has blessed me in the good things and also in the bad things, with a renewed desire to draw closer to Him, which has become the ultimate of earthly blessings to me!!
Because of those things, both good and bad, and for His help and the still small voice of the Holy Spirit, He allows me to continue to live within this vulnerable, earthly body, for which, I am deeply grateful!
{The “purpose” of this book is hopefully, to glorify God and to glorify Him “ only !”}
A good friend and confidant, Jimmy Posey told me one time: “The Bible doesn’t say all that much, but it delivers its extremely important message in a lot of different ways!”
{I thought this to be a very foolish statement and I couldn’t accept his theory at first, but then, I started to think about it and you know, he’s right! - — The gospel of Jesus Christ really is si mple!}
It is my prayer that you will accept this collection of articles, on different subjects, which were written over many years, each with a different thought, but, hopefully, all with the same simple message that the Lord would have them to convey!
In the light of the fact that we all conceive “truth” in many different ways, if a scripture, or a story is repeated, it hopefully, will be relevant to the purpose of that particular article, but mostly, to the purpose of the scripture and / or to someone else, who might think differently than we do!
The gospel of Jesus Christ really is simple, but our natural, finite minds conceive His very simple message in many different ways and it is my prayer that one of “those ways,” within this writing, will convey Christ’s Spirit and the true gospel of Jesus Christ, which is only “one truth,” to your receptive mind! -– {This “Mystery,” which is Christ in you , the hope of glory!} Col. 1: 27 {paraphr ased.}
This writing has been done in love, for the Lord and for each and every one of you!

I dedicate the following work to the memory of my Dad.
Jack M. Semadeni, was born in 1904 and immigrated from Switzerland, to the United States and Cedar Point, Utah, in 1922.
In 1924, while practicing his English, he had written, in his handwriting, the following paper.
I do not know if is original, or if he was practicing his writing skills in English, with an existing document that was important to him, but he had always counseled his children to: “read only good books!” {My dad could speak seven different languages and read and write three different langu ages!}
Also following, his “writing,” is a short story that he told me, many years ago.
The thoughts presented in his writing and in the short story are very well worth each one of our consideration!
I also dedicate the next following story, -- “One Day” – to my wife, Elizabeth Ann Semadeni, as a small reflection of the joys of our life together.
