I would like to dedicate this book to my mother, Ms. Flossie L. Thompson. She was one that understood the importance of prayer and stood on God’s Word through her different paths of life. She demonstrated the different types of prayer as well as the different postures and positions of prayer.

I would also like to dedicate this book to my grandmother, Mrs. Flossie M. Thompson. She was one that covered the family and others in prayer. It was by listening at her bedroom door and being in church meetings, gatherings, and services that I learned so many different facets of prayer.

Thank you to all who played a part in developing the gift of prayer. Thank you to every person who taught me about prayer as well as those who taught me about prayer in their daily lives.


I am truly honored and elated that you have chosen to read this book. I hope that the prayers in this book will encourage, empower, equip, and inspire you. As you read the prayers and/or pray the prayers over yourself or others, I hope that you are drawn closer to God. May your relationship with God become richer because you paused to pray.

Day 1
S ALVATION
Father God,

You are the true and living God and I exalt Your Holy Name. There is nothing and no one greater than You. I pray for my sister who does not know You as Lord and Savior. I pray that her eyes will be opened and she will realize that she must make You, Lord, and Savior of her life. I pray that she will experience Your great love, for You sent Your Son to die for our sins, that we may have everlasting life. May she confess Your Son as Lord and believe in her heart that He was raised from the dead so that she can have an abundant life. I thank You, Father, that my sister has asked for Your forgiveness and repented of her old ways. Thank You for making her a new creation in You. Whatever thoughts that make her feel unworthy of Your love, may they be removed right now. I pray that no issues with her earthly father or any other relationships prevent her from receiving Your love and redemptive plan. Thank You, Lord, for translating her from darkness into Your marvelous light, for it is Your grace that saved us all. I thank You for her transformed life, and I pray that she continually grows closer to You minute by minute and day by day.

F RUIT OF THE S PIRIT
Heavenly Father,

I honor You with the fruit of my lips. I extol Your Holy Name throughout the earth, and I shout with a voice of praise. You are wondrous, and how awesome are Your works. I cover my sister in prayer and I ask that You fill her mouth with words of life. May her words be spoken with boldness, yet with kindness and gentleness. I thank You, Lord, that she emulates Your nature and walks in love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control. The fruit of the Spirit equips her to face many aspects of life, and I pray that she will allow You to mold her into the person that will be a reflection of the good thing that You have created. I pray that every fiber of her being aligns with the great plan that You have slated for her life. May she become an authentic representation of Your unadulterated Word in the earth. I pray that she extends compassion toward all mankind and continually exemplifies Your nature wherever she goes. Thank You, Lord, for an amazing vessel that is uniquely designed for greatness.

W ISDOM
Father God,

Thank You for the air in my lungs, the ability to hear the birds sing, and the capacity to carry every role and responsibility that You have for me. I cover my sister in prayer, and I ask that You give her wisdom for every assignment. I thank You for releasing prophetic strategies unto her inner being. I pray that she lives with knowledge and understanding and she makes decisions that will lead her into a reservoir whose proceeds are better than silver and whose true worth has a generationally compounded effect. I thank You, Lord, that this wisdom leads her into a path of peace and happiness. I pray that every step that she takes is ordained by You, every word spoken is a spring of living waters, and every thought that she has lines up with Your Word. May her ears and heart be open to counsel and instruction that she may be a wise woman who is preserved by wisdom. I pray that her heart retains Your Word and she embraces wisdom. I pray that she continually seeks wisdom and finds the good things pertaining to life and righteousness. I thank You for giving her understanding about Your Word.

Day 4
E QUALITY
God Almighty,

I humbly come before You with thanksgiving in my heart and adoration on my lips. You are mighty and great is thy faithfulness. I come to You, Lord, to cover my sister in prayer. Father, it is Your desire that we treat everyone with respect and equality. I pray, Lord, that my sister shows no partial treatment toward others, but she treats everyone with a reverence for who they are and not according to their economic or influential status. Lord, as Your daughter goes into the marketplace, grant unto her fair pay and equal opportunities. I pull down any strongholds of marginalization and limitation, and I speak of an expansion of territory and influence upon her life. I pray that her doubts and limitations about herself be eradicated and she believes in the awesome talents, gifts, and skills that You have given her. May those who are over her see her true value and allow her voice to be heard in the boardrooms, offices, and spaces of opportunity. When she enters the different dimensions and domains, may she exude power and poise as well as compassion and kindness. May she be seen as an asset to any company, ministry, or entity. I pray that my sister be paid fairly and treated with respect and honor. This is her season of promotion, and I declare favor over her life!

B EAUTY
Heavenly Father,

I worship You and bow down before You, for You are My Maker, and You are the Great God. I shout joyfully to You, and psalms and thanksgiving are always in my heart and on my lips. I pray that my sister sees the beauty that is on the inside of her. Let her not be swallowed by the images of this world that portray beauty by what is on the outside. The marvelous work that was made in secret now graces us with her uniqueness, and Lord, indeed what an amazing vessel that You have chiseled and molded into a masterpiece that gives a different definition of beauty. I thank You, Lord, that she defines beauty wherever she goes and she does not let the beauty of this world define her. She is uniquely designed, and I pray that she is able to accept the differences in her voice, melanin, clothes, and/or culture.

Lord, my sister has an amazing outward beauty, but I pray that she truly comprehends the inner beauty of her heart.
