PREFACE
I n January 2022, I got a revelation about the growth that takes place in people’s lives, spirituality, business, and other domains. Nature has provided revelations to scientists, engineers, music composers, transporters, and many other professions. Inventions like the bullet train are concepts that were derived from nature. My revelation came through seeing showers of rain.
In life, you sometimes get an insight which you are convinced is not for you alone. The longer you go without sharing it with others, the more it becomes a burden to you. This was the feeling that I got when I received this revelation about the season of growth. It may be a bit similar to what prophet Jeremiah was feeling when he said, “It was like fire in my bones” (Jeremiah 20:9).
I am a writer and have made several economic and management contributions to local and international newspapers, journals, and online platforms. During the pandemic, I wrote a book titled Deeper COVID-19 Social, Political and Economic Revelations . I have become a person who writes what he sees and encounters. In this book, my writing is to a large extent linked to nature, spirituality, and management as the main platforms of discussing the season of growth.
I interact with people through my company page, www.ontherock.co.zw , or through my social media handles: Youtube, @edgarmuzvidzwa4990, and Linkedin at www.linkedin.com/in/edgar-muzvidzwa-5bba5b3a .
In Season of Growth , I extract lessons from nature and teach you how to understand the seasons, the key considerations in the season of growth, and the important realities that enable you to have sustainable growth in any domain.

THE REVELATION
I n January 2022, I was in Zimbabwe when my church pastor apostle Augustine Bura declared the year 2022 the season of the Spirit. As an assembly, we began the year with a period of prayer and fasting from 2 January to 13 January. My wife Ottilia and I participated in the prayer and fasting for those days. As usual, we took it seriously and passionately, as most people did, especially since this was the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Who knows—one could do it just to seek God’s protection from the coronavirus disease.
Coincidentally, January falls within the rainy season in Zimbabwe, which begins around October and ends around March. One day I was meditating as rain was falling in our area, and I felt that God was giving me a revelation that the season of the Spirit is like the rainy season in the natural. Sometimes when a spiritual season is declared to a church or a nation, the wave of the Spirit engulfs the whole space, and supernatural provision is opened upon the people.
In this book I will dwell much on this analogy of the rain and the ground to discuss the opportunities that come to us when we are in specific seasons of God’s spiritual provision. These are special seasons which must be taken seriously, as often people fail to notice the day of their visitation. At one point, our Lord Jesus Christ lamented over Jerusalem as its inhabitants failed to recognize the Saviour who was physically walking in their midst (Mathew 23:29–39). On the contrary, they chose to focus on certain ceremonies, and some of their spiritual leaders were concerned that the man from Nazareth might take people out of their control. This was one of the unfortunate occurrences when traditions and inflexibility barred people from seeing beyond their usual comfort zones. More often than not, people overprotect the status quo to the extent that they fail to see the new season upon them.
A similar thing is likely to have taken place during the time of Noah in the Old Testament. People living then never imagined that rain could fall from heaven as he was preaching. They could have rejected the notion that water could fall from above. How on earth would something like that ever happen when God had never allowed it prior to Noah’s declaration, if he did mention it to them?
