Description

Spiritual Source of Guidance was written to tell people pastors are not perfect, just people God uses to reach His people here on earth, a book about how God’s power works if we allow it.
You will learn that pastors or people of the cloth are not all the same. Even though we are often put in the same category, we are different—good and bad. In the good is often a manifestation of God’s power: people being delivered from sickness, diseases, and things that do not line up with the Word of God. We need to pray for the bad and allow God to work on their hearts so they can be healed from the wrong things they are doing.
You will read that God deals with the broken pastors. We all have sinned and fallen short, so don’t judge, just read. You will see God’s power at work in pastors who are preaching but have no power.

To my church family, First Harvest Faith Christian Center. Also, to Min. Felder, Min. Sloan, Deacon Fairly, Evan. Anthony, Sis. Johnson, my very dear friend Ralph Watkins, my children Ernest and Elonte Riley, and my only grandchild, Miss Yaniya Riley, the little lady who runs the house, just to name a few.
I’d like to thank you all for keeping me in your prayers and pushing me. Thank you for seeing the greatness in me when I didn’t see it in myself.

Introduction
The Bible holds supreme authority over all creation and this world. Who is the King of Creation? God himself, the Supreme Being. Scripture is God’s revelation in our history. It can open up doors to our spirits that we have never imagined. It has the power to bring any dead situation to life, and we will see that situation live again. Psalm 118:17 tells us that I shall not die but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Can I get an amen to that?
As I started writing this book, God showed me so many things. Pastors, bishops, apostles, evangelists, and so on do so many things that do not line up with the Word of God, yet we still see them in the pulpit and wonder why there is no power coming from the pulpit. We as people of God need to take a look at ourselves and get this right. We need the Holy Spirit to flow freely in God’s temples. We think God is pleased with us when we get up before His people and speak a feel-good sermon. But what about the anointing flowing in the temple to get people delivered? We are so wrapped up in the money or the prestige that it brings us; we forget the reason we are out front: to bring glory to God . Not self. Think about it. Are you glorifying self or God?
To all my fellow pastors and Christians partners, this book is not written to bring anyone harm or to judge anyone. I am not writing this to talk about anyone in particular; this is just a book that God put on my heart. So as you read this, read with an open mind.

The Power of God’s Word
G od’s Word is living, and it does exactly what God says it can do. When I look at the Word of God, it tells me that power is in His Word, which we can read and get results. We will get the right outcome every time if we are lined up with the Word of God.
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). If we take a deeper look at that scripture, we find the power of God’s Word. It is living, it is active, and it cuts through all the infirmities that come with everyday life. It tells me that it speaks to the heart and mind and it tells them to line up with the Word of God. It tells me that God knows my thoughts and the intentions of my heart. We as a people may not know another person’s motives, but the Word tells us that God knows and that He will see to it that His Christian people will not be left in the dark. Now that’s power.
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11). This means God is not all talk. When He talks, His words accomplish His intended purpose. The Word of God has power, and it never fails or fades away from that intended purpose. That’s a powerful thing to think about because people will have the best intentions. But their endeavors may not produce the results they were looking for.
That is not the case with God’s intentions. Not ever.
I cite many scriptures because I need you to see just how powerful God’s Word is. It is nothing to be reckoned with. It is powerful and must not be ignored. It is a force within itself.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:1–3). This tells me the role of God as Creator is established in verse 3. The universe is not the product of mindless matter but of an intelligent Creator who is more powerful than the human mind can imagine. Jesus is said to be identical to God, which makes them one. So the scripture makes the point that nothing created was created apart from Jesus. This proves that Jesus was with God because He is the Word; He carried the Word here on Earth. This shows us that there is one thing that has always existed: God Himself, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We are still talking about the power of God’s Word.
