Insights from Chapter 1

#1

The Amplified Bible translates the word for noble as capable, intelligent, and virtuous. A woman of noble character is not easy to find anymore. You can have full confidence in God no matter what season of life you’re in right now.

#2

Your personal vision statement is to use your creativity and enthusiasm to support and inspire others to freely express their talents in a harmonious and loving way. It’s simple, but it takes time to develop.

#3

I invite the Holy Spirit, as my counselor, to show me a solitary place where I can get my priorities straight. I will consider this place and time his official invitation to call me there, morning by morning.

#4

The Proverbs 31 woman got up early and spent time with God, which gave her confidence. You should make time to meet with God and invest in your relationship with him.

#5

Create a specific place for time alone with God, a place where you do nothing else but spend time with him. Equip it with all the tools you need for Bible study, prayer, and meditation.

#6

The world’s standards of modesty are becoming more and more lax, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find clothing that honors you and protects the purity of the men around me. I must live according to the principles set forth in God’s Word, not the standards of this world.

#7

The Bible says that out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. We must meditate on the Bible so it seeps deep down into the fiber of our being. We must memorize the entire passage describing the Proverbs 31 woman by the end of three months.

#8

Cut out the Scripture memory verse cards at the back of this book, and place them in one of the binder pockets in the front of your Personal Notebook. Spend an extra fifteen to thirty minutes writing out the verses on index cards and/or Post-it notes.

#9

My deepest desire is to become a wife of noble character for you. I know the real test of my character is who I am when no one is watching but you. I want to honor you by making choices that are simply because I want to honor you.

#10

The Proverbs 31 woman is the type of woman that God can have full confidence in. She is trustworthy, and she does the right thing even when no one is watching. She brings God good, not harm.

#11

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

#12

I choose to be in the peace of God, even when my circumstances are anything but peaceful. I know that peace guards my heart, mind, and health. Forgive me for getting so focused on everything that’s wrong with my life.
