Description

Originally written by Levi H. Dowling, ‘The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ’ is a transcript that records the events of the life of Jesus, as well as providing the reader with some insight into the missing years of his life that is not documented in the biblical canon. To compile this work, Levi spent most of his time attaining spiritual consciousness through silent meditation, allowing him to view the Akashic Records and the life of Jesus. The book tells about the life of Jesus that has been erased from history, the side of where man becomes like God through free will and holiness, obtaining the crown of life through righteousness. It tells of the story of how everyone is capable of being anointed by God to do good works through love and caring for others. The Aquarian Gospel is a synopsis of the four canonical gospels put together under one esoteric teaching.

THIS BOOK IS DEDICATED TO MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE, KATHYA,
AND OUR TWO PRECIOUS DAUGHTERS, TRINITY AND PHOENIX,

The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ
Anagoge of a Scribe

As Jesus prayed, a brilliant light appeared,
and his form became as radiant as a precious stone.
His face shone like the sun,
while his garment appeared as white as snow;
and the Son of Man became the Son of God.
Jesus was transfigured so that the men of earth
might see the possibilities of man.

Introduction
T he Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ was originally published by Levi H. Dowling in 1908. Levi was born in Bellville, Ohio, on May 18, 1844, and is the son of William and Rachael Dowling. His father William was a pioneer preacher among the Disciples of Christ, also known as the American Restoration Movement, which began on the American frontier during the Second Great Awakening of the early nineteenth century. Those who pioneered this movement did not set out to establish new denominations, but rather, they sought to reform the church from within. They hoped to restore the church and the unity of all Christians into a single body that was patterned after the New Testament church. It is generally considered to be the oldest ecumenical movement in the United States. Ecumenism is the ideal of Christian interdenominational unity and cooperation. In a literal sense, the meaning is in a belief of a single church.
At the age of thirteen, Levi was involved in his first recorded public debate, in which he took the negative side of an argument concerning the “everlasting punishment of the wicked” preached by a Presbyterian elder. At the age of sixteen, he became an ordained Disciples of Christ minister, and by the age of eighteen, he became a minister of a small church. At twenty years of age, he enlisted in the United States Army and served as a chaplain during the latter years of the Civil War. He eventually went on to deliver Pres. Abraham Lincoln’s eulogy during his memorial service held for the Union troops in Illinois.
After the Civil War, Levi decided to study the uses of homeopathic medicine and became a graduate of Hering Medical College in Chicago. From there, he went on to receive a PhD from the Homeopathic Medical College of Missouri in St. Louis, in which he was briefly installed into the faculty as a professor of chemistry and toxicology. Through these experiences, he began to practice homeopathic medicine and the use of electricity in medicine—making him a pioneer in modern day medicine. It did not take long, however, for Levi to retire from the medical profession to pursue literary work. He became the author of two spiritual healing books: Self-Culture and Biopneuma: The True Science of the Great Breath.
Now even as a young child, it was said that Levi had a sensitivity for finer ethers and believed in some way that these sensitized plates recorded sounds and even thoughts. So he decided to study these etheric vibrations and set out to solve the great mysteries of the heavens for himself. It did not take long for him to realize, however, that what he sought as a young child was in truth a reality—that every thought of every living thing is recorded upon these finer ethers.
So it came to pass that Levi spent the better part of forty years studying these finer ethers, and through silent meditation, he allegedly found himself in the stage of spiritual consciousness. This allowed him to enter the domain of these superfine ethers known as the Akashic records, becoming familiar with their mysteries. It was here that Levi claimed he stood before the very throne of God, where the Holy Breath gave him this commission:

“O Levi, son of man, behold, for you are called to be the message bearer of the coming age — the age of spirit blessedness. Give heed, O son of man, for men must know the Christ, the love of God, for love is a sovereign balm for all the wounds of men and the remedy for every sickness. And man must be endowed with wisdom and power and with an understanding heart.
“Behold the Akasha! I behold the Record Galleries of Visel (Holy Breath), where every thought, word, and deed of every living thing is written down. The needs of men are manifold, and men must know their needs.
“Now, Levi, hearken to my words and go forth into these mystic galleries and read. There you will find a message for the world, for every man, for every living thing. I breathe upon you now the Holy Breath; you will discriminate, and you will know the lessons that these Record Books of God are keeping now for men of this new age. This age will be an age of splendor and of light because it is the home age of the Holy Breath, and the Holy Breath will testify anew for Christ, the Logos of eternal love.
“At the first of every age, this Logos is made manifest in the flesh so man can see and know and comprehend a love that is not narrow, circumscribed. Twelve times in every revolution of the sun, this christed love of God is made full manifest in the flesh upon the planes of earth, and you may read in Akasha the wondrous lessons that these Christs have taught to men, but you shall publish not to men the lessons of the Christs of ancient times.
“Now, Levi, message bearer of the spirit age, take up your pen and write. Write in full the story of the Christ, who built upon the solid rock beyond the circle of the sun — the Christ who men have known as Enoch the Initiate. Write of his works as prophet, priest, and seer. Write of his life of purity and love and how he changed his carnal flesh to that of flesh divine, without descending through the gates of death.
“And you may write the story of Melchizedek, the Christ who lived when Abraham lived and pointed out to men the way to life through sacrifice and who gave his life as a willing sacrifice for men.
“And you may write the story of the prince of peace, the Christ who came as a babe in Bethlehem and traveled every way of life that man must tread. He was despised, rejected, and abused; was spit upon and was crucified, but he revived and rose a conqueror over death that he might show the possibilities of man. A thousand times it has been said to men, ‘I came to show the possibilities of man. What I have done all men may do, and what I am all men shall be.’
“These stories of the Christ will be enough, for they contain the true philosophy of life, of death, and of the resurrection of the dead. They show the spiral journey of the soul, until the man of earth and God are one forevermore.”

Now during these meditation sessions, it was claimed that Levi was able to repeat
