ISLAM FOR ALL  Is Islam an ethnic religion ? No, it is not . Islam is open for all races, all colors, all peoples, all countries, all continents, in brief for all humans .  When others say “ we”, they often refer to a certain color like the whites or the blacks, or to a certain nationality such as we the Americans ”or we the French ”.  Islam is not an ethnic, tribal, or geographical label . Anyone in this world can and should join the Islamic nation . Be a Muslim, and you join the Islamic community immediately regardless of color, race, and previous religion and regardless of the religion of your parents .  Islam does not impose an absolute uniformity on its followers . Any local customs that do not contradict Islam can be accepted within the culture of Muslims because basically the moral code in Islam rests on the principle that everything is allowed unless it is specifically prohibited . Islam allows variety within unity .  The Islamic we ”is a very open we ”. It welcomes all humans of all countries . It is a universal we” , not an ethnic one .

 God says in theHoly QuranProphet addressing Muhammad, “We sent thee not but as a mercy for all creatures .”( Al - Anbiya : 107 ) . (2) THE TREND OF DISBELIEF Do disbelievers differ in their behavior or their attitude towards Islam ?  Generally speaking, they do not . Most disbelievers behave in very similar ways with regard to both their personal behavior and their international behavior .  Personally, most disbelievers all over the world drink alcohol and do not object to adultery . Internationally, most of them hate Muslims and oppress them whenever they can .  In the twentieth century, look at what the Americans did to Libya : their planes bombed the presidential residence and imposed a nine-year international embargo . The Americans bombed and besieged Sudan ( 1997 ), Afghanistan ( 1997 ), Iraq 1991 - 2000, and Lebanon ( 1958 ) . France in 1950’s killed almost one million Algerians . Russia killed about 100,000 persons in Afghanistan during its invasion in the 1980’s . Russia did the

same in Tajakistan ( 1992 ) and destroyed the whole country of Chechnya ( 1999 ) .  The European Serbians killed thousands of Muslims in Bosnia in the 1990’s . The Serbians also killed thousands of Muslim children and Muslim women in Kosovo in the 1990’s .  Prophet Muhammad said, “The norms of disbelief are the same .”He means that disbelievers generally behave in the same way : they kill, they are aggressive, they tell lies, they break their promises, they are merciless, they are selfish, they go beyond limits, they have double standards, and they are hypocrites .  In contrast, Muslims are peace-loving . They do not go abroad to kill . They do not imperialize other countries . The do not invade to expand . Thy do not send troops thousand of miles off their borders to colonize, imperialize, or terrorize .  Islam divides the world into two trends, philosophically at least : that of belief, i.e., the Islamic nation, and that of disbelief . Each of these two nations has its characterizing set of values : The Islamic values and the non-Islamic values . The first set of values is engineered by God ; they are God-decreed values . The second set is engineered by man ; they are man-fabricated values .  The people of disbelief often behave in a way that displeases God : occupation of others, invasion, imperialism, terrorism, racial  discrimination, usurpation of other’s rights,

conspiring against others, hypocritic behavior, double standards, and telling lies . The people of disbelief have made a strategic alliance with Satan himself since they share a lot with Satan : the same motives, the same means, and the same ends . Satan refused  to surrender to God’s word, and so does the nation of disbelief .  Prophet Muhammad said ,the The norms of disbelief are same,”meaning that disbelievers are united against believers and that all disbelievers are generally the same in their behavior and values . (3) HUMAN RIGHTS  Do Muslims force Christian women to cover their hair ?  Islam requires from the Muslim woman to cover her hair and all her body except the face and the hands . However, Muslims have never forced a non-Muslim woman to cover her hair .  In contrast, same Western institutions force Muslim women to uncover their hair and force them not to wear the Islamic dress .
