Description

Thoughts In The Journey is a book of proverbial, and prophetic sayings, based upon the interpretation of the word of God.

The purpose of this book is to bring an awaking to both believers and unbelievers, that they might have wisdom, knowledge and understanding of the grace of God.

Many years ago, during the course of my journey, I started jotting down these thoughts in a notebook, and in the fullness of time, these are now written on the pages of this book.

The journey has been one of great experience, and life changing for me, which has taught me diligence in studying the word of God, that I might grow thereby,  and pray that it will do the same for you.

Above all, I pray that the word of God will be a lamp unto your feet and light unto your path.  By this you will walk in his perfect and acceptable will, and that is to submit to his love and faith unto righteousness.

I hope this book will give you a burning desire to  pursue the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.

Dedication
This book is dedicated to my family, and believers, as well as to those who have not yet experienced the joy of salvation through Christ Jesus.
As they make a commitment to study and meditate upon the word of God, they will walk in his light.
It is written in the book of Psalm 36:9: “For in thee is the fountain of life, and in thy light we shall see light.”
I pray that they will adhere to the ways of righteousness, which is the perfect and acceptable will of God for the lives of his people.

Psalm 127:1: “ Except the Lord built the house, they labor in vain that build it, unless the Lord keeps the city, the watchman watcheth but in vain.”

Introduction
Thoughts in the Journey is a book of proverbial nuggets through knowledge and understanding of the word of God. The very first time the gospel of Jesus Christ was presented to me, I did not hesitate to make a choice to repent of my sins, that I might receive the gift of salvation.
Words are not enough to express my gratitude to the Lord, who redeemed my life from destruction, and crowned me with his loving-kindness and tender mercies. I rejoice in the challenges I experienced, and believe it was the set time when I received that which was predestinated for me, even before I was formed in my mother’s womb. I had to come to the end of my own thoughts and desires. When I cried out to my Heavenly Father to fill that void within, he quickly heard, and answered my very brief prayer which was: “I need God in my soul.” This was the beginning of a journey that I would not want to change. I thank the Lord for giving me stability, and a desire to walk in the fullness of his love and faith unto righteousness.
I pray that the life of every believer will be the book above all books, with the love of God written on the pages of their hearts, that his name might be glorified.
It is written in the book of Psalm 73:24–25: “Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel and afterward receive me in glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there is none upon the earth that I desire but thee. My flesh and my heart failed, but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.”
Everything we encounter in our lives, whether it is good or evil, the Lord knows before it happens, and what was meant for evil shall be for our good.
I would like to describe the journey, as aircrafts which are lined up for take-off, cruising down the runaway one after the other. As the pilots patiently await their turn for instructions from the tower, even so, the believer cannot take off, or soar to higher heights until the spirit, mind, and body are in one accord. This is the only assurance for a safe take-off, flight and landing.

In the journey there might be turbulence, but through faith in the Lord, you will be safely taken to your destination.
Many believers have chosen their own path, and did not follow the instructions of the Lord, only to their own destruction. It is more rewarding to patiently wait upon him until you are rooted and grounded in his love, which is the only power to be effective in ministry.
To have victory in the journey, we must be fully persuaded that nothing will separate us from the love of God.
It is written in the book of Romans 8:38: “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come.”
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
It is written in the book of 1 John 4:7-9: “Beloved, let us love one another for love is of God, and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God, for God is love.”
“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because God sent his only begotten son into the world that we might live through him.”
Through faith in God, our Heavenly Father, we have wisdom, understanding, and revelation knowledge through his word.
In the beginning of the journey, newborn believers must be taught how to meditate upon the word of God, so that they might know who they are in Christ Jesus. By yielding to the Holy Spirit, they will be able walk in the way of righteousness.
It is written in the book of Psalms 49:3: “My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.”
The Spirit of Christ within is the light that will guide us in the journey.
It is written in the book of Psalm 119:105: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”
As we make a commitment to abide in the word of God, and build a personal relationship with him, we shall prosper in our spirit, mind and body.
I hope that these thoughts, written in its simplicity will be a blessing to believers, and unbelievers alike, and above all that they will be of quick understanding to receive the unconditional love of God.
Pursue your journey with the eyes of
faith, and with patience you shall
receive the promise.
The Office of the Prophet
1. A prophet must be taught by the Holy Spirit, and in the fullness of time is “ordained” by God to be an effective minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. The prophet is an individual who is chosen by divine appointment to administrate in this office.
3. This individual, as it were, must have an intimate and personal relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
4. God will use such individuals according to his will, whether it is by divine appointment to speak, pray, beseech or write by revelation knowledge through the Holy Spirit.
5. The prophet will speak boldly by divine order with the authority given by God.
6. The prophet is one to whom God will secretly communicate his instructions and visions for an appointed time.
7. The prophet is one to whom and through whom God speaks for the edifying of his body.
8. The prophet is ordained by God to proclaim the divine purpose of salvation, and his glory to be accomplished in the earth as it is in heaven.
9. The prophet is an individual with great knowledge and unquestionable wisdom in the word of God. The unconditional love of God must prevail in the life of the prophet.
10. A prophet must walk in the integrity, and boldness in the word of God, and be a doer of same.
11. A prophet is one to whom the kingdom of God is revealed (which is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

NOTE: One may be used by God as he wills in the prophetic gifts, but is not necessarily anointed or appointed to function in the office of the prophet. The unconditional love of God is the only effective power that will enable the prophet to speak a word in season to others.
Be not deceived; many who have called themselves prophets, are nothing but soothsayers and false prophets who entertain familiar spirits to deceive those with itching ears, wanting to hear a word from the Lord. Believers who have a personal relationship with the Lord should not have to seek a word from others because the written word of God is our prophetic source.
The anointing of a prophet will correct, exhort and rebuke, but all in the spirit of love and compassion that will bring forth a change in the lives of others. The Holy Spirit does not manifest discord, disgrace, shame, hate, resentment or unforgiveness but rather the unconditional love of God, even in the most adverse circumstances.
It is written in the book of Matthew 7:19–20: “Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire.”
“Wherefore, by their fruit ye shall know them.”
Reminder: Those who call themselves prophets, and do not manifest the fruit of the Holy Spirit are nothing but instruments of unrighteousness, who cause division in the body of Christ. For this cause it is a season of repentance to walk in the perfect and acceptable will of God.
Fear is the enemy of the soul and faith is
the power to walk in victory.
