Description

I was raised in a dysfunctional family in Clarksville, Maryland. My father was an alcoholic, and my mother was a screaming, screeching shrew who could be heard all over the village. I was one of five living children, as my mother lost a baby between myself and my younger sister.

I attended a Catholic school from grades 1 to 8, and then an all-girls school for four years of high school. I then left home for a Catholic college in Washington, DC, and graduated with a BA.

After graduating, I began teaching math from grades 7 to 12.

I then met and fell in love with a man at a singles gathering in Ohio, where I went for postgraduate studies. We soon got married, but eventually divorced. I never married again.

A Short Bio Of The Author

Time Line And Biblical Information
Is the universe finite or infinite? This is a question that cosmologists are still working on and for which they do not yet have an answer. Having Hubble’s Law and Hubble’s constant of about 50, they believe that the universe is about 20 billion years old. However, according to current scientists (2012 AD), the universe can be ascertained to be about 1415 billion years (most recent data: 13.73 billion years old)
They named a period on earth from 4.6 billion to 570 million BC as the Archaerozoic Era. Based on some scientist research, planet earth had no life upon it due to the intense heat. The surface was about 2000 degrees Fahrenheit according to “EARTH: The Making Planet.” On the other hand, there are those scientists who state that “Life was probably present, but may have been limited to simple, NON-nucleated single-celled organisms called Prokaryota (Monera).” 1
Another largely unanswered question relevant to this time frame is whether or not any tectonic plate (continental drift/sea-floor spreading) activity or any small or large land masses existed. Further scientific study will ultimately answer these questions. This period is followed by the Paleozoic Era which lasted from 570250 million BC.
At some time prior to the Paleozoic Era there were three super continents. 2 The first was named Columbia which is theorized to have existed from about 1.8 through 1.5 billion years ago. It began to fragment about 1.6 billion years ago via tectonic plate (continental drift/sea-floor spreading) action. Columbia was followed by Rondinia which broke up about 650 million years ago. Finally, Pangaea was the third super continent. It was formed about 300 million years ago and ultimately re-divided into the form of our present global maps.
The Paleozoic Era (570250 million years ago) is said to consist of six geologic periods. They are from the oldest to youngest: Cambrian, Ordovician, Silurian, Devonian, Carboniferous, and Permian. There were also six major land masses at this time. During this period there were invertebrates, the first land plants, insects (both land based and flying), spore bearing trees, seed bearing tress, etc.
Then the Mesozoic Era (meaning middle animals) from 25165 million BC came along. It consisted of three time periods named the Triassic (254-208 million years ago (mya), the Jurassic (208-146 mya) and Cretaceous (146-65 mya). In the Triassic period, the dinosaurs and other mammals came into being. During the Cretaceous Era the dinosaurs became extinct. Much of life as we would know and recognize it began during the Cretaceous Era. Finally the Cenozoic Era from 65 million BC to the present was named. It is subdivided into two major periods. They are the Tertiary Era (651.8 mya) and the Quaternary era (1.8 mya-present). 3
Some scientists believe that the first single called organism has existed since 3.8 billion years ago. It is estimated that the first members of Genus Homo came to be about 3.2 million BC. (Lucy of the species Australopithecus afarensis – a skeleton out of Ethiopia.) 4 The first European jawbone and teeth were found in Spain and dated to more than 1 million years ago. 5 Recent information published in the New York Times on October 1, 2009 and written by John Noble Wilford titled “Predating Lucy, Fossil Skeleton Pushes Back Human Ancestry” has been found. Andi’s (Ardipithecus ramidus), fragments were discovered in Africa in 1992, put together and studied over many years. The fragments forming the skeleton are considered to be 4.4 million years old. She is of the hominid family tree.
Much is known, but much still remains to be learned about Homo Erectus such as where he/she emerged from the mists of time and when, (Homo Erectus is thought to be about 1.60 million years old.
