In writing this book I drew on my experiences and relationships with family, friends, co-workers and my Church family. All these wonderful relationships helped shape and form the truths of my life. So I thank all who know and love me for helping to bring this work to the light. I’d like to thank all those at Inspiring Voices who worked so diligently and professionally on this piece making it as brilliant as it could be. Most of all I thank God for causing me to believe in myself through his belief in me. Thanks for the Word and every chance you give me to get it right.

Foreword
Bro. Waverly Davis
How refreshing it is to read a book that specifically aims at the Truth of God’s Word! Reading this book will cause the reader to observe and acknowledge that “God had it right all along”. Corrie Jean Reed takes what should be quite apparent, if not downright obvious in society today, and makes it very clear what the Bible has been saying all these cent uries.
Corrie has taken what many see as being difficult, and broken it down to a level that anyone who wants to understand the major ills affecting society and corresponding remedies, can and Lord willing, will act upon in their own lives.
Corrie writes this book with such conviction, and makes its themes so concise and to the point, it becomes clear that she has studied God’s Word for input, and has put the practical application in wr iting.
Thank you Corrie for this insightful and well written “handbook for the soul”, and may your efforts be richly blessed by the Lord!

I Need A Healing!

T here are many types of sicknesses and diseases, aches and pains, ailments and hurts human beings suffer from time to time. People may suffer individually as well as collectively. They may suffer for short spurts or for long durations of time. Yet one thing is unmistakably clear: at some point all will suffer. The Bible says that we all have a cross of our own to bare.
Circumstances and situations can negatively define our lives and cause us to suffer. Our snap and impulsive decisions may cause unwanted suffering. Some suffering is beyond our control while some we bring on ourselves. There is physical suffering as well as mental and emotional suff ering.
Yet, wherever, or for whatever reason we may find ourselves suffering, ultimately it should be for the cause of Christ. For, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for the ungodly. Christ suffered a cruel death at the hands of mankind. He submitted to this death. He suffered it to be so. Furthermore, it is because of his stripes that we are healed. He became sin for us and offers unto us a healing not only for our physical bodies but he came to give rest to our very souls.
Lord, I need a healing for my soul. I need a healing for my heart and mind. I find myself planning and moving and shaking up things when the father is telling me to be still. I desire to go, to do, to build, and to accomplish or achieve right now, when the father says wait. I suffer unnecessary stress and cause my family and friends unnecessary strain because I am impatient with m yself.
My mind is constantly going and going and simply put, I need an emotional and mental healing. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t need a psychiatrist of sorts but I need that peace of mind that surpasses all understanding OF WHICH only Jesus can give. The kind of healing I need is in the one who gave sight to the blind, the one who raised the dead.
Furthermore, I want to know what it feels like to be disciplined with finances: a financial healing “good stewardship” is what I seek after. I need a contentment healing and a “be true to yourself,” healing. I need a proper decision making, friendship building, life changing, give everything over to God, don’t worry be happy kind of he aling.
This type of healing transforms and shapes. This type of healing gives hope in despair. This type of healing causes one to tie a knot and not let go no matter what the suffering or circumstance. This type of healing causes one to let go of their gloomy past. It causes repentance and acceptance. It brings about positive change and catapults individuals into their potential and places them into their de stiny.
When one is truly healed he forgives all wrong. When one is truly healed he marches steadfastly around his own Jericho Walls and shouts so that they’ve got to come down. He lets the beauty, the gifts; the good (that this ole world tried to destroy) come shining th rough.
When one is truly healed he no longer has one foot in the Church and the other in the world. He is truly seeking and serving the one who healed him. He knows that God wants it all. To God he gives his all. Oh, that we may all find the healing we need so that we no longer grope in dar kness.
If we would just cast all our cares on the one who conquered death and the grave. He holds our healing in the palm of his nailed scared hands. If you are a Christian in need of any kind of healing the father says come unto to me all ye who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.
If you are not a Christian, right now we recommend the healer, Jesus.
