God loved you enough to send His one and only Son to be your Savior. Jesus paid the debt for all your sins, and He not only wants you to live with Him eternally in heaven, but He also wants you to enjoy the journey. In John 10:10 Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” The word “abundant” means that life is intended by God to be full and meaningful, with purpose and direction.
God wants you to be a spiritual winner! My friend, Steve Wingfield, has written Winning the Race Every Day to help you grow spiritually by helping you get to know Jesus better.
Learning to know Him by spending time with Him on a daily basis will enable you to be a better follower of Jesus. We are running the race of our lives and I pray this book will help keep you on track. This track is paved with forgiveness. If you are a spiritual wreck or have just experienced a fender bender, don’t give up! Read 1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Confess your sin and ask Jesus to forgive you. Then get back in the race!

PREFACE
You hold in your hands the product of a lifetime of experience and several concentrated years of preparing daily radio and web broadcasts called Keep Your Drive Alive. I have lovingly distilled almost three years of Keep Your Drive Alive offerings into this book.
It is my heart’s desire that Winning the Race Every Day will be a motivational tool for you and the friends, neighbors, coworkers and family members with whom you may share it. We also plan to make the book available to the fans who respond at our Victory Weekend ministry events at NASCAR racing events around the country.
Some early readers have told me that they can almost hear me reading the book to them as they go through it. I hope that is true because I want the words that I broadcast to have life enough to penetrate hearts and minds and make a soul difference for God’s kingdom.
This book represents the fulfillment of many, many years of wanting to share what God has shown me over the decades as I have been trying to serve Him to the best of my ability. I hope it shows.
I am often quoted as saying, “Represent Christ well today.” That is what I diligently sought to do with this book and I fervently hope that it will help you do that as well.
