In this book, we’re going to talk about fun questions and answers concerning anatomy and nature. So, let’s get right to it!
The human body has eleven major systems of organs. All of these systems work together to keep you alive every day.
Question : What is the largest bone in the human body?
Answer : The femur, which is the thighbone, is the largest bone in your skeleton. It can support about 30 times your weight. If you compared an ounce of steel with an ounce of your femur bone, the femur bone would be stronger.
Question: How many bones are in the human skeleton?
Answer: There are 206 bones in your skeleton. When you were first born, you actually had more bones, but as you developed, some of your bones fused together. About ¼ of the bones in your skeleton are in your feet.
Question : What is the largest muscle in the human body?
Answer: The muscle described as the gluteus maximus is the largest muscle in your body. It’s one of the three large muscles in your rear end. The two others are the gluteus medius and the gluteus minimus.
