In the dilapidated station we find steam blowing everywhere and a dirty looking, tired out man getting up from an old box just long enough to fill the oil cups or throw some coal into the furnace and then sitting down again. Off in a corner we find the chief taking a nap, for he says, I was up most of the night trying to make a joint in that old steam line. When asked how things are run ning, he will say, The old station is going to pieces; we have all kinds of trouble.
