Prologue
The Richest Man In China lives near Shangri-La located in the mountains in southwest China. Shangri-La literally can be translated as "ideal place" or "utopia." The Shangri-La region is a haven for beauty and tranquility brimming with majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, glacier turquoise color rivers, Tiger Leaping gorge, grassland, and breathtaking foliage and alpine landscapes. The Richest Man in China was born in this modern day paradise in a remote part of the world. His destiny was not what you would expect of a person who never knew his parents and never had any contact with relatives. He was born out of wedlock and, his poor mother to save face, abandoned him along a river bank on the frozen snow wrapped in a wool yak blanket one freezing cold winter morning. Chances for survival for this newborn baby were next to none. Miraculously the crying baby was found by passing monks returning home from a caravan on the silk route. Thereafter he was nurtured and mentored by a lama who was head of the Gendansongzanlin lamasery in this region. The Taoist, Confucius, Daoism, and Buddhism teachings that he learned during the impressionable years of his youth led him to become one of the wisest, wealthiest, and definitely one of the most revered and loved persons in China. He helped all people who visited him discover meaning and purpose in their lives. Heads of state and people from distant lands sought his wisdom, knowledge and advice. People referred to this orphaned man with no birth name as MASTER. At the tender age of 88, MASTER decided to memorialize his eight time-tested and proven pillars to achieve wealth and financial freedom. He wanted to help all mankind rise above adversity and make a better life for themselves. Master’s passion was that his learning’s and prosperity knowledge would help people from all walks of life for generations and generations, and centuries to come in the years ahead become more productive and prosperous simply by following his eight pillars of wealth. He knew that dedication and practice of the eight pillars of wealth guaranteed happiness and success. For more than fifty lunar years, MASTER had mentored a great number people who came to him with limited talents; no money is some cases, and high expectations. Several of those people who implement the eight pillars of wealth created millions of dollars of new wealth, and a few followers of his teachings earned billions of dollars of new wealth. MASTER was confident that determined people who made the teachings in the eight pillars of wealth a part of their daily life would surely join the ranks of the wealthiest people in the world and more importantly make a significant contribution to mankind.
MASTER
MASTER walked along the river to the place where the monks had found him as a new born baby abandoned on a snow bank just a few minutes before the cold weather almost took away his life. His whole life flashed before him. MASTER was aware that a person’s lifespan is just a fleeting moment within the context of time. He looked up at the snow-capped Jade Dragon Snow Mountain above and felt very blessed for the abundance the infinite intelligence of the universe had bestowed upon him. Time is also a gift of life and too precious to waste foolishly he thought. MASTER knew his birth was a miracle and that every life has its own unique purpose and meaning. He was also blessed to have monks passing by that heard his cry and saved his life when his life could have ended almost as fast as it started. There are no coincidences in life. There is always a cause and effect for every action. He also thought how fast life comes and goes for all mankind. He didn’t want people to regret that they did not get the most out of their lifetime, which passes so quickly from birth to death. He thought how many people in the world were crying out for a better life but didn’t have a proven plan that made it possible for them to achieve abundant wealth. He knew there was much suffering in the world and he had a deep compassion and love for all people. There were no logical reasons in his mind for these people not to set goals, work smarter, and develop a better, richer, and more rewarding life. MASTER knew abundant wealth was available to all people, yet less than 5% of the world population ever achieved financial freedom at retirement age. Sadly, MASTER was only too aware that 5% is the law of chance which meant most people have a hit or miss, roll of dice chance at becoming financially free to live life on their own terms. The infinite intelligence of the universe did not play dice when the universe was created. MASTER wanted to share with all people a proven way for them to create a better destiny. Far too many people in the world hunger for success, happiness, peace of mind, and dignity in their lives.
The thought that his China plan for wealth would soon be shared with deserving people around the world energized MASTER as he watched the melting glacier water from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain cascade down over a small waterfall. An eagle flew high in the clear blue azure sky above and look down on him. Now was his time to soar like an eagle and now was the time to share his enlightenment with all mankind. MASTER knew China had developed at least 960,000 Chinese millionaires and more than 200 billionaires in less than five decades. More importantly, Master knew from personal experience and counsel that many of these people started with limited assets and resources and that applying the eight pillars of wealth helped them earn their fortunes. MASTER had the answers and solutions that would work for all people who desired riches regardless of their race, education, intelligence, and geographical location. There are no real obstacles, he mused, except the obstacles that dominate a person’s thinking and mind. Now was the perfect time to share his manuscript with all people who desired a more satisfying, meaningful, rich, and rewarding life.
He continued his walk passing a vast open alpine meadow and traversed a narrow part of a deep alpine stream that led to a steep climb through a forest of pines and rhododendrons. The arduous climb back to the Gedansongzanlin lamasery was not like a walk in one of the big cities in China. Birds were singing from tall green trees. The air was pure and cool. Crystal streams were cascading down from the mountain above. Indigenous flowers started to blossom and the air permeated the fragrant perfume smell of blossoms. As he climbed higher the flowers increased in number and beauty and sprinkled the mountainside with lilies, irises, dark blue tree asters, and ground orchids. He looked up at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain’s ice-laden peak still far above the lamasery. The peaks glistening like diamonds when the sun caressed it. Below was a breathtaking view of a vast alpine meadow shared with glacier streams and small lakes that were surrounded by mountains. Then suddenly, breathing hard but energized, he was back at the lamasery for his 8:00 AM meeting with his trusted scribe, Liang. MASTER handed Liang a manuscript that carried all the secrets and laws of the universe that he had learned and studied over the years to accumulate never ending wealth.
MASTER : "Liang, my days are growing shorter and I have lived a good life. I am in the winter of my life. Like a fine aged wine, life at any age is always a rich gift of the infinite intelligence of the universe. I will no longer be seeing visitors at the lamasery as my health is slowly failing me. My memory is starting to fade and not always as sharp as it used to be in my younger days. Time is of the essence to share my thoughts on wisdom and prosperity. Over the last eight months I have written down what I believe people need to know to acquire abundant wealth and to live a rich and rewarding life. It is a plan of action and program that any person can follow and implement. There is still far too much suffering, misery and poverty in the world. Mankind was not put on earth just
